Cheapskates! Although given North is involved, every little bit they can save counts.

Forward Mason Wood is set to make a speedy return from injury for North Melbourne's second JLT Community Series game against Richmond next Wednesday night, while Taylor Garner and Jy Simpkin are also chances to play.
Leadership group member Macmillan will return against Richmond after he was a late withdrawal from North's opening JLT game against Melbourne last Saturday with a severe migraine.
The Kangaroos will also consider resting players who have completed heavy pre-season workloads from Wednesday night's game.

Sorry but I cannot see the point in playing Broad
He wont be playing rounds 1-3 so why?
Makes more sense to me at least to give the game time to someone who is likely to or will play those rounds
-
With an eight-man bench it's pretty much of a muchness....they probably don't want him to be too far off the pace when he returns.... :shh
-
Not many understand how important Broady is to RFC :shh
-
Business as usual time to move on

Yeah, looks a bit of a weird inclusion.

Round 4 will come round quick enough and he will slot straight in.

I don't see him as being that critical to the team, and I think he needs to earn his spot back. He has no one to blame for not being there in round 1 except himself.

...and the twins..... :shh
-
broad should play and IMO would be there round 1 if the trial by chopstix brigade didnt rear its ugly head again.
Well played RFC

Annoyed I can't get to the game
Stupid scheduling by the AFL
What a surprise...NOT
-
16 mins gone. An inaccurate start.
Rich 1.4-10
NM 2.2-14
Bolton with the goal.
-
Frees: 2 - 11 :P
-
Asleep in defence.
10 - 21
-
We actually got a free.
Nank big mark. Finds McIntosh who gets 50. On 50, hits it well = Goal :gotigers.
Rich 2.4-16
NM 3.3-21
21 mins Q1
Cooney commentating on SEN says it was a muted celebration.
-
Gee there's a lot of over confidence out there.
Gee the umpires are cheats. Absolutely pathetic
-
Frees: 4 - 14 ::)
-
Jack on 47 tight angle tries to find grigg who was the only target. Throw-in. After a bit of play around our F50 it's a free to Jack 30m out.
Goal! In front :gotigers
Rich 3.4-22
NM 3.3-21
28 mins Q1
-
And that's the Quarter time score.
Richmond 3.4-22
North Melb. 3.3-21
Goals: Riewoldt, McIntosh, Bolton.
-
Frees: 4 - 14 ::)
The boys aren’t helping themselves by giving away stupid frees, most have been silly
-
Few getting big heads?? Not dishing first option
-
Dusty fend off, Bolton handballs in the air to Lloyd for a goal.
Kicked the last 4 goals. Up by 17.
Rich 7.6-48
NM 4.7-31
22 mins Q2
-
Terrible turnover by North. Dusty again and Lambert goals. Make that last 5.
54 - 31
-
Rance intercepts across HB and we get it forward. Stoppage at F50 and it ends up with Lloyd who is too strong. The kick for goal is OOTF though.
Rance needs a torch at his end ::).
We've dominated play this qtr despite North leading the possession stats.
The Kangaroos are dominating possession of the football although it isn't translating on the scoreboard. The Kangaroos lead the disposal count 166-143, marks 44-34, and uncontested possessions 105-87.
Frees: 8 - 19

-
Half-time
Richmond 3.4 8.6-54
North Melb. 3.3 4.7-31
Goals: Lambert 3, Riewoldt, Bolton, McIntosh, Caddy, Lloyd.
-
Just easing our way through this game.
Get some work into those legs boys.
-
Gee there's a lot of over confidence out there.
Gee the umpires are cheats. Absolutely pathetic
Umpires trying to help NORF no end. Anyway, for mine Castagna has continued his butchery of the football, Conca has done little to help
Lloyd has been average and his kick for goal late in the 2nd was a disgrace. None of these boys should play R1 especially Castagna, who
just destroys good plays with his selfishness when he has the footy in hand.
The absence of Bashar Houli has been pronounced but I get the feeling our boys arent giving it 100%, 100% of time, we seem to be playing
when we want to.... Its a bit of boys against men at the moment, we should win by 15 goals but I don't think we are in destroyation mode tonight.
-
Dominated inside 50s 36 - 25, clearances 20 - 15 and centre clearances 10 - 4.
Disposals:
Dusty & Cotch 11
Floss, Nank, Sheds & Caddy 10.
Riewoldt 9
Bolton, Conca, Grigg & Lloyd 8.
B.Ellis, Graham & Lambert 7.
Rance, Townsend, Butler & Macca 6.
No injuries so far :pray. Only Corey Ellis with a blood nose.

Almost feels as if you're saying they're playing like its a Wednesday night practise matche against pissant competition.
-
First 3 goals to us in the 3rd.
Townsend, Jack and now Caddy after a 50.
Rich 11.6-72
NM 4.8-32

-
Last 9 goals to us.
nank on the right out of the middle, to Georgie to Grigg to Cotch = goal. Training drill.
78 - 32
-

79 - 32
The Tigers are dominating the early part of the second half leading the disposal count 31-18, marks 9-3, inside 50s 9-2, and goals 4-0.
Frees: 10 - 22

-
Sloppy play in the last 8 mins. More like junk time.
82 - 38
21 mins Q3
Martin has continued on with his form from last year, now up to a team high 15 disposals and an equal game high six clearances for the match.
http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/jlt-community-series/2018/2/rich-v-nmfc
-
Headbutting the ball out of the bounds is now deliberate :huh.
-
Big bomb from Moore = goal :gotigers
Rich 13.10-88
NM 6.8-44
One min to go in Q3.
-
3/4 time.
Richmond 3.4 8.6 13.10-88
North Melb. 3.3 4.7 7.8-50
Goals: Lambert 3, Riewoldt 2, Caddy 2, Bolton, McIntosh, Lloyd, Cotchin, Townsend, Moore.
Blitzed it in the first 10 mins of that qtr. Then got too cute at times after that.
-
The commentators are actually saying stop it and comparing us to Harlem globetrotters lmfao
-
have you seen the free kick count LMAO they have 28 to our 16, wtf are we giving em away or is charity?
-
Waite goal at the start of the last counted by Georgie and Grigg.
We've hit the ton.
Rich 15.10-100
NM 8.9-57
13 mins Q4
-
The commentators are actually saying stop it and comparing us to Harlem globetrotters lmfao
I have that music playing my head now from when they used to show em on TV in the 70's , they were awesome
-
Martin now with the boots off on the bench resting up for round 1 as his disposal count sits at a team high 22. Martin has also had 10 contested possessions, four inside 50s, and three tackles for the evening.
Top defence by broad. We go the rebound. Townsend marks as Thompson falls over. Passes to the pocket and Lambert kicks his 4th.
106 - 57
-
Put the foot down and it's out to 69 pts.
Goals to Butler x 2, Moore
Rich 19.13-127
NM 8.10-58
27 mins Q4
Lambert 12 possies this qtr to go with his 4 goals.
Butler 6 disp., 5 inside 50s and 2 goals this qtr.
-
Siren. :gotigers
Rich 19.14-128
NM 8.10-58
-
Looked like we were in first gear most of the game too. Could have kicked another 10 if guys weren't too unselfish.
-
Would have been 150 if we didn’t try all the globetrotter stuff.
-
We really needed a tough hard game to sharpen up for round 1, only problem was we got drawn to play Norf! One way traffic against a bunch of bruise free non-competitive dribblers ... :P
-
Norf = the Washington Generals of the AFL ... (now you've got me whistling the globetrotters tune .... :whistle )
-
Perfect start to the season.
-
Still one more practice match against Carlton before the real stuff starts.
-
Dwayne Russell is a knob who's never allowed to get a ticket on the tiger train .....however he did come up with comedic gold tonight when he said we had deliberately come to princess park in an attempt to scare Carlton for round 1 . Very funny .
-
Memo to AFL
Nobody wants to watch footy at Princes Park or whatever you want to call it. Nobody.

Star Richmond premiership key forward Jack Riewoldt has expressed his excitement with the emerging playing talent at Tigerland.
“We’re evolving as a group. We’ve got a lot of young guys coming through playing good footy,” he told ‘Fox Footy’ following the Tigers’ 70-point win against North Melbourne in last Wednesday night’s JLT Community Series match at Ikon Park.
“Corey Ellis has really impressed over the last two weeks and he’s put his name up there to play Round 1 . . .
“We’re seeing guys like Corey and Shai Bolton really putting their hands up.”
Riewoldt also liked what he saw from young rookie tall forward Callum Moore throughout the second half of the Tigers’ JLT Community Series match against North Melbourne at Ikon Park last Wednesday night.
Moore, who entered the action after half-time, had seven disposals, five score involvements and kicked two goals in a lively display.
“I was really excited to see the way he played . . . He could be a real option for us going forward,” Riewoldt said.

AFL pre-season: Who were the winners and losers of the JLT?
Rohan Connolly
Sporting News
12 March 2018
JLT Winners? Well, if there were “moral” pre-season premiers, Richmond, Carlton and Gold Coast might have all been in a play-off for a “who got most out of it” decider.
The Tigers, in two thumping wins over Essendon and North Melbourne, looked like they hadn’t even had an off-season, both wins just continuations of that irresistible pressure they brought to the finals stage last year.
Two of the biggest stars, Dustin Martin and Trent Cotchin, were excellent in both games, as was Josh Caddy. Coach Damien Hardwick tweaked a few things in positional terms with success. And Shai Bolton and Reece Conca both pushed their claims for inclusion in the opening round line-up hard indeed.
