Title: Fort Lauderdale mass shooting
Post by: Francois Jackson on January 07, 2017, 07:21:18 AM
Another attack at Fort Lauderdale Apt. An airport that I've been to a few times.

At least the killed is not dead, so with some luck his sorry arse will be sent to G bay to see out his days, with a nice rod coming out of his date.

Gunman is an ex National Guard who served in Iraq but was discharged last year

Clear mental issues going by reports.

No suggestion he was a Muslim,  actually religion hasn't been mentioned

So not sure why the suggestion he be thrown in G bay

X amount of active time served, medically equates to mental insanity.

Yeah should be moved to the America and their guns thread. Just some fear mongering to try and suit his side of the previous argument

Apparently, he went to the authorities in Anchorage telling them he heard voices and that the CIA wanted him to fight for ISIS.

The question is why he was still allowed to own and carry weapons when he clearly had/has a severe mental illness that was known to authorities.

That's the crux of the matter. I'm a great supporter of gun ownership, just not when it comes to established nutters and/or criminals. Santiago also had a history of domestic violence and suspected child pornography. This appears to be a 'PC'   policing fail.

Orrrrrr........... he may have feigned mental illness in order to establish an insanity defence once he commited his well planned Jihad related crime.???.......Just putting it out there.

"A 'PC' policing fail" :huh3.

This is another US gun law policy failure. The police took his weapon away initially but after a month with no laws broken gave it back thanks to the "it's a right to carry a gun" mentality and laws over there.  Of course, the NRA and the gun lobby in the States still think guns should be allowed in Florida airports :facepalm. The guy was allowed to carry a semi-automatic handgun in his luggage. Geez, who would've thought something could go wrong with that! :facepalm

No one is disputing the guy had a severe mental illness. This isn't a conspiracy theory.

Agree with this being another US gun law failure but Ru-whatever could be onto something. Maybe not in this case but would not be surprising if people have started/will start feigning mental illness prior to a crime to have something to refer back to to add substance to mental illness claims

Criminals have always attempted to fake mental illness to try and con the justice system. It's not something new.

The idea that it's something recent created by Islamic terrorists trying to hide their motives is just another far/alt-right conspiracy theory.

Speaking of far/alt-right conspiracy theories, it's being reported that a One Nation candidate for the Mulgrave electorate in far-north Queensland has claimed the Port Arthur massacre was fabricated  ::). It seems you only win One Nation preselection is you're a complete fruitloop :facepalm.

It is extremely frustrating for someone who is well read on the topic of Islam to see some of imbecilic comments made on forums by infantiles such as you. 'Taqiya' is the deceitful method used by Mohammed to infiltrate Medina after his expulsion from Mecca. It was the main pillar, along with guerilla criminal activities, of his time in that city prior to gaining control. Taqiya is universally practised by Muslims still today. Educate yourself and stop bringing metaphoric knives to an academic gun fight!

Also that 'drop kick' was trawling jihadi websites in 2004 well before he, in true taqiya fashion, joined the US military. Looks like I have been proven right yet again....this 'winning' is becoming a habit.

On a side note if you look at the West today you can see reflected the ignorance and comp!acency of Medina's reaction to Mohammed's arrival. They should have turned him straight over to the Meccans and countless millions of lives would have been saved.

You resort to insults yet call other people infantiles  :lol ::).

Esteban Santiago didn't hide from authorities what he was in his crazed mind. He told them in advance that he was believing that the CIA was telling him to fight for ISIS. So much for him using 'Taqiyya'  ::). Rather it's evidence that he was/is severely mentally ill and America's soft gun laws are to blame once again for another massacre after stupidly allowing such a disturbed individual to not only still hold a gun licence but to also recklessly still allow him to carry a weapon in his luggage and in a crowded airport. In Australia, this would not have occurred.

Also that 'drop kick' was trawling jihadi websites in 2004 well before he, in true taqiya fashion, joined the US military. Looks like I have been proven right yet again....this 'winning' is becoming a habit.
No surprise you got this 'he was a jihadi in 2004' from some alt-right conspiracy website  :lol. Except that the claim is based on unverified and hacked Myspace user:password database from the dark web which can be easily manipulated by those that want to believe in conspiracies and "alternate facts" :whistle.

Add to this, most of these conspiracy websites claiming Esteban Santiago was a secret jihadist, also ran with the claim that CNN had "whitened" a mug shot of Santiago to make him look 'white' rather than hispanic. Problem is CNN didn't post this mugshot and this same mugshot was the wrong Esteban Santiago :rollin. Got to love conspiracy theory nutjobs  :rollin.

What's sicker, is these alt-right conspiracy nutjobs from the USA and UK flooded Australian twitter feeds about the Bourke St massacre last week trying to also claim the killer Dimitrious Gargasoulas was also a jihadist when he wasn't. They also spent last night flooding twitter claiming the Quebec Mosque shooter(s) were Muslims targetting their own when the mass murderer has turned out to be one of their own far right nationalists. They once again show they are no different to Islamic extremists and terrorists!

Last post for you. I actually run a business and responding to your banality makes me dumber and costs time/money. In finishing I will say this: only a fool takes a 'deny the antecedent' approach against a Polemicist. On the subject of murder the Islamists killed upwards of 200 million in India alone until they were stopped by Western Armies. 94 million in Africa until vanquished first by the Americans and then the British. Can you not see a trend here! Emigrate to Saudi Arabia if your masochistic predeliction is so overpowering......oh wait you can't, not until you convert at least. FINEM DISPUTATIO!!

Of course there is no chance of you quoting the murder and slaughter perpetrated by Christians, and hindus, and athiests through history.

Which denomination of blind faith have more Australian soldiers died fighting, do you reckon?

If you are so keen on a Holey war, why are you not in the middle east yourself, fighting to return the christian lands to their original owners , (whoever the stuff that actually is) or are you just like the mentals who like to talk tough, promoting division and bloodshed, but ultimately let others do your dirty work for you?

Ruan -

I won't be arrogant enough to talk on a topic I don't know enough about.

The one thing that's plainly obvious though is that if someone doesn't agree with you, they are wrong.

But not only do you disagree, you belittle them for having an alternate view or theory.

Pretty average attitude IMHO
