Bingo ! Dale Weightman is correct.
Mark Lee was coaching Burnie in 1987, whilst Flea was at the Sth Launceston Bulldogs.
It was a pretty good comp back then as the united TFL with Rhys-Jones also coaching North Launceston, unfortunately the TFL has since re-divided into a north/south bias.

Has the 1st & 2nd leading goalkickers in a VFL/AFL season ever came from the same club ?

Did Roach and KB do it in 1980. 112 and 80 or thereabouts.

Close, but no dice. I think Templeton may have split them in his Brownlow year.
