I couldnt help lolin' at our fortunes

Yeah Ox. It was like anything that could go wrong will for us at the moment. I've never seen the big goalpost snap like that in my life and then for it to not fall over in the direction it was hit but to the side and onto McGuane. You wouldn't believe unless you saw it :o.
At least Lukey is fine and we can laugh about it now :lol.

can he sue the VFL ?

can he sue the VFL ?
I reckon if he had a long term injury or his career was cut short due to it he could.
Didnt Luke O'Sullivan get an out of court settlement for his knee injury?

Tigers' McGuane hit by goalpost in VFL

The Age
Richmond defender Luke McGuane was lucky to escape serious injury when he was felled by a goalpost in a bizarre incident in Hobart on Saturday.
McGuane was playing for Coburg in the VFL against the Tasmanian Devils at Bellerive Oval when he was injured.
He and Devils player Mark Westfield were running back towards the goals with the flight of the ball when Westfield crashed into the post.
It snapped off at the base and landed on McGuane who had run through the posts and was standing behind the square.
The match was halted and McGuane taken from the ground to be treated.
Under the rules the match, which was midway through the final quarter at the time with Coburg narrowly in front, Coburg would've been declared winners if it was held up for more than 30 minutes.
However, a replacement post arrived, was installed and the teams returned about 15 minutes later, with McGuane running back onto the ground with Coburg, who finished off with a comfortable win.

Ahhh Tassie..The only place left in the world where you can chop down a tree, run it through the mill, turn it into a footy post and have it up in 15 minutes.
If only the rest of the place ran with that sort of efficiency they might actually catch up with the rest of the nation. :rollin
I spent a few days down there with work recently and everyone I dealt with seemed to dither around and take a week to do a 1 day job. :banghead
I also bought a salad sandwich for lunch at a deli in Hobart and I kid you not it took them 10 minutes to make it. :scream

It was a strange day down in Hobart....
Actually they are very lucky they had that netting up behind the goals or that post would hit a few spectators.... now that would have been a real lawsuit :gobdrop
