2016 membership pricing information
richmondfc.com.au
August 18, 2015
After freezing membership prices in 2015, the Richmond Football Club is pleased to advise that pricing for the 2016 season has now been confirmed.
The key points of interest to members are:
1. Premiership Circle members will have the ability to offer their MCG seats for re-sale in 2016. The Club is finalising the exact cash rebate that will be provided back to each member whose reserved seat is re-sold in 2016, and this information will be provided prior to the season commencing.
2. As a result of the 2015 membership upgrade campaign, the Maurice Rioli Club membership is currently oversold. Current members who renew their Maurice Rioli Club membership prior to the December 1 cut-off are guaranteed a position in this category. Members who upgraded as part of the 2015 upgrade campaign will be accepted in order of their confirmation of renewal for 2016. Once the allocation is exhausted, this package will be closed off, as it contains the final guaranteed Grand Final ticket entitlements, which the Club has access to through the AFL. New members wishing to be considered for the Maurice Rioli Club membership can join the waiting list by clicking here (http://membership.richmondfc.com.au/maurice-rioli-club-waiting-list-).
3. 3121 memberships are also sold out. Upgrades and new members into this category will be on a waiting list. Members wishing to be placed on this waiting list can do so by clicking here. (http://membership.richmondfc.com.au/3121-waiting-list-)
If you currently have a 3121 or Maurice Rioli Club membership, there is no need to register on the waiting list.
If you are interested in the next level of coterie membership, the Inner Sanctum, please contact Gavan Moule via email at gmoule@richmondfc.com.au
Membership renewals for 2016 will be emailed to members soon. Members who pay via the Committed Tiger payment plan do not need to take any action. Your membership will roll over automatically. All other current members can renew as soon as their renewal offer arrives. New members will also be able to make contact with the Club and sign up for the 2016 season.
Any members who have any questions relating to the above, can contact Richmond’s Membership Department on 1300 742 466, or by email at membership@richmondfc.com.au.
The Club sincerely thanks all of its valued members for their continued support.

Probably was no need for the condescending there
Hell, I'd even call that baiting/trolling

Nah, they give you the seat, but you're not allowed in the ground! Once you pay at the gate you bring the seat in with you and snap it onto the bar that holds it in the correct location. Simple. :shh :lol

Well seeing MRC is sold out and there is waiting list
Premiership Circle would be the cheapest...unless they've changed the benefits on that

I have a question that I think you guys will be able to answer instead of me going to the club.
If I get a punt road membership reserved seat. will I need to upgrade my ticket every week to get into my seat? I would think not but I have heard different things at times.

No
You have a reserved seat with your membership then you have that seat for all HOME games at the MCG but not away games
However, there a couple of Punt Road membership categories that don't give you a reserved seat at Etihad.
But for the MCG home games, you are covered
-
Thank WP.
I think that will be my membership next year then.
Undercover Punt RD 2A 11 games.

REASONS TO BUY: They might not have progressed beyond the first week of finals in three tries but the fact remains they've qualified each season since 2013 and are well placed to win one. Now, with Chris Yarran to give them more dash and pace off half back, a new Rioli – recent draftee Daniel – to fill a role as a genuine small forward plus increased midfield depth with Jacob Townsend and Andrew Moore coming in, they've made some handy additions to their list and only lost players through retirement (Chris Newman, Nathan Foley, Chris Knights, Ricky Petterd and Matt Thomas). Brett Deledio says he's fit and set for a big year after two summers affected by injury while last year's first-round draft selection Corey Ellis presents as a new recruit after persistent problems with his foot cruelled his debut season. – Jennifer Phelan

Out of interest, do you know the number of Coterie memberships? 5k a year for memberships doesn't hurt the club if we've got a few thousand of them.

Out of interest, do you know the number of Coterie memberships? 5k a year for memberships doesn't hurt the club if we've got a few thousand of them.
total number of coterie members are included in the overall membership tally
Prices differ for each level. We have 4 levels of coterie
Top level is Jacks Club - which is capped at 17 members - cost is $21,500
Followed by
Legends Club = $6,500 of a single or you can buy a double for $12,500
Richmond Executive = $4,250 for an Adult (single) or $9,500 for a family (2 adults, 2 kids)
Inner Sanctum = $2,100 Adult (single) or $5,000 for a Family
I believe there is a cap for each category (certainly is for IS). For memory in 2015 Inner Sanctum had around 150-170 members
Richmond Executive is the one that's dropped off number wise since it was introduced, they way they have chipped back the benefits received in that one from when it was started is disappointing

Win the 2016 Tigers Golden Ticket
richmondfc.com.au
February 1, 2016
This year one lucky Richmond member will win the 2016 Tigers Golden Ticket – return flights, accommodation and tickets for two people to all six of our interstate games, a prize valued at more than $12,000.
All you need to do to is join as a Richmond member for 2016 and you are automatically entered in the draw to win the Golden Ticket; it’s that simple!
All existing members will also automatically be in the running to win the Golden Ticket.
If the winner is from a city that Richmond are already playing a game in (eg. Perth, Adelaide, Canberra etc.), we will replace that game with a trip to the MCG.
Richmond chief executive officer Brendon Gale said now is the perfect time to sign up and help the Club reach 75,000 members for the first time.
"The Richmond Football Club is built from the strength and support of its members and we are encouraging all fans to become members in 2016," he said.
"There is plenty to look forward to in 2016 with 14 MCG games, 10 prime time matches, and blockbuster home games against Carlton, Collingwood and Hawthorn."
For more details or to become a Richmond member today, visit membership.richmondfc.com.au.

Almost 5k ahead of last year. The price rise came at the start of March last year so we had a big Feb and quiet March. This year sales should be consistent with no price rise so if we maintain a 4-5k gap after Feb then we should widen that gap by 1-2k after March
-
No coincidence that our membership has increased ever since we got rid of that useless hack Post...

AFL clubs offer vast array of membership packages for fans
Cheryl Critchley
Herald Sun
February 6, 2016
ESSENDON has the league’s cheapest 11-game general admission membership this year as the club deals with the fallout of its drugs ban, a Herald Sun membership survey has found.
The Bombers charge $170 for home games at Etihad Stadium, while Adelaide is at the top end of the scale — charging $250 for an 11-game general admission membership.
As clubs increase their membership campaigns, the Herald Sun gathered prices from each AFL club about their deals.
All offer a mind-boggling array of products and prices — even standard 11-game home membership prices and packages vary considerably.
Gold Coast had the most expensive kids’ general admission membership at $105 and Richmond and Brisbane the cheapest at $45.
The cost of guaranteeing access to a Grand Final ticket should your team make it also varies greatly.
Brisbane fans can pay just $40 on top of a game access membership, while adult Collingwood supporters must buy a Legends reserved seat membership that starts at $756.
AFL Fans Association president Gerry Eeman said it was a shame some clubs appeared to sell Grand Final guarantees to the highest bidder rather than award them to those who attended the most games.
“However, some clubs should be congratulated for keeping their memberships low,” he said.
“Members remain the lifeblood of the game.”
The good news is that AFL club members with match access will get free access to NAB Challenge games.
Some clubs also have flexi memberships allowing fans to take friends, using as many game credits as they like per game until they reach a limit.
All memberships are now counted towards a club’s tally.

Membership has been increasing since Richo retired too

Yeah 76k at the moment but I think we'll widen the gap on last year in March. Everyone was rushing to get their membership in Feb last year before the price rise and there weren't many sales in March. No need to rush this year so March sales should be a lot better this year.

How demography helped Richmond grow membership numbers
Cain Liddle
General Manager - Consumer Business at Richmond Football Club
Feb 22, 2016
For anyone interested in how demography can help in membership/consumer growth, targeted fan engagement and overall consumer strategy, you may find this video interesting. Lailani Burra from Informed Decisions presented the case study at the recent Chief Strategy Conference in Melbourne. The first 10 minutes is valuable demographic information and the final 15 minutes relates to the Richmond case study. Great way to understand the "When" and "Where" as well as "Who", "What" and "How".

It ain't rocket science. I could've told the club Craigieburn was a mistake for free. Every tiger supporter I know is east or south east Melb. Just watch junior footy and see what the kids are wearing whilst they train.
We could still have had more members & supporters if those parents didn't let there stupid front runner kids turn coat to whorethorn & other pansy teams during the late '80s & 90's. It's a bloody disgrace this was allowed to happen. Not in my house! My wife had to support Richmond and the kids had no bloody choice in the matter, as they were brainwashed to support Richmond and told that it was unacceptable and weak as pee to turncoat to another team no matter how crap the team is.
And when I'm blessed to have grandkids there's no bloody way that any sissy son in law is going to override grandpa. All my grand children WILL be supporting Richmond!
So let it be written, so let it be done! :gotigers

I love how the "live" membership tracker on the Carlton website (http://membership.carltonfc.com.au/) just keeps automatically adding to their tally every time you refresh the webpage. All those new members of theirs signing up online at the same rate whether it's the middle of the day or middle of the night :lol :wallywink.

Hawthorn whores.

Wasn't Waverley a Richmond stronghold in the 70s?
Yep smasha, Glen Waverley was our zone.
Essex Heights Football Club, which served as Richmond's Under-17 team, made it four flags for the RFC across all grades in 1973 (seniors, ressies, U19s & U17s).

Do you post on PRE as "Baloo"? Were you waiting until you thought we were good enough until you became a member? Haha! Really sticking fat eh?!? Seriously pal, you hypocrite fair weather fan

He only joined OER 18 months ago Dio. Maybe his economic circumstances prevented him from joining up or he wasn't in the state in the last few years. We don't know individual situations that prevent them from being members.

Buy a house, get married start a family 3 years while Mrs on minimum wage.
Good luck you EVEN trying!!!
I have been as passionate and committed as anyone else just with out funds to do as others, while i'm at it - I haven't seen success of any type and have been bashed for it over the years just like every one else. And to come on here and be bashed by my own supporters for trying to get them to stay positive is a disgrace.
Supporters like you remind me of the darker times when fans spit on the coach.

Im not a 1000 plus poster on here but from what i can see most that are hate richmond.
We have all been through hard times. False hope kills us all.
But to be honest this is the best ive seen us in a long time and to see our supporters pot players and coaches is really disheartening.
So back our boys. Dont cheer conca when he kicks a goal. Dont cheer grigg when he is tagging a bloke and dont cheer houli when he is running off hb then come on here and sook like your wife.
So for me how bout instead of crying how bout we get behind our boys and finish top 4.
So who have I bashed here?
Have I called any one out.
Have I called any one a REAL SUPPORTER or a FAKE SUPPORTER?
haha obviously didn't do well in English because none of what you have accused me of doing is in this post.
Good on you pal, you could afford a membership. Because you have a membership you are the MAN!! You can go around abusing who ever you like. Everyone has a right to view their opinions and I respect that. But not everyone has the right to pot blokes like you have.
Have fun with your membership KB Warrior.
-
Kevin Bartlett warrior? Is that that somone who tries to worm their way out things by relying on semantics? Because that would be you, champ -or do you think saying "most people with over 1000 posts hate Richmond" isn't somehow suggesting they're not real supporters?
Good on you pal, you could afford a membership.
Indeed, good on me - like most people who can afford things like the internet, I can also afford a membership. Curiously though, I also somehow managed to afford them many years ago when my wages were considerably lower and my immediate responsibilties considerably higher....but of course, the sacrifice was all worth it just to be able to spit on the coach....
You can go around abusing who ever you like. Everyone has a right to view their opinions and I respect that.
Yes, you "respect" it so much that you start threads abusing people for doing just that.
But not everyone has the right to pot blokes like you have.
Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. Funny stuff.

Enough with the cheap shots from the cheap seats
Get back to the topic and enough with the insults and the swearing. I am well aware of who's been posting the "F" word and letting the swear filter take over; which can result in a trip to the swear bench.
I not interested in people pointing fingers, playing the blame game... keep the insults off the forum.
Pretty simple really :banghead

-
Wait, so not avoiding the swear filter is also against the rules now?
If a post gets reported and you've used a word that gets changed by the swear filter then the reported post shows the original word
So for people who abuse other posters which includes swearing at them in said posts if a swear word has been used when it's reported we know
Now before you go off on one your tangents of calling out the mongrel who reported some of the posts, the mongrel was me so i could ascertain who was using the "F" word and who wasn't. Rarely go down that path but the abuse left me with little option
And finally suggest you read the postong guidelines. Yes you can get suspended for repeatedly swearing and letting the swear filter do the job for you. And people have been
And yes anpther snip. Stick to the topic

Snip! ::) This thread is about and for membership discussion. As WP said, stick to the topic!
Anyway, we're back to 1500 ahead of this time last year. The large jump at this time last year was due to a rush of members signing up for the cheaper offer prior to the March price rise.

Reviewing every AFL club’s membership campaign slogan
Titus O’Reily
Herald Sun
March 4, 2016
EVERY year, some work experience kid in the marketing department has to come up with a marketing slogan for the club’s membership drive.
A line from a song is often used or sometimes something just bizarre.
Strangely, despite most of them being innocuous, they can go spectacularly wrong, look at Essendon’s ‘Whatever it takes’ or Carlton’s ‘They know we’re coming.’
Let’s have a look at the 2016 crop and recommend some helpful alternatives:
Adelaide
Slogan: We Fly as One
Review: Hard to not like this one, especially after the classy way it was used following Phil Walsh’s passing last year, when even opposition supporters used it as a mark of respect. No pressure on the person coming up with next years’ one then.
Alternate slogan: Now containing 100% less Dangerfield
Brisbane
Slogan: Believe. Belong
Review: Had this for a while now which suggests the marketing department just can’t come up with a new one because you wouldn’t keep this one by choice.
Alternate slogan: Come for the inflatable Lion, stay for the footy, or don’t
Carlton
Slogan: Bound by Blue
Review: This one is perfect. It captures the trapped feeling a Carlton supporter must have all the time. Like organised religion, supporting Carlton is only something a person would do if they are constrained by family and community ties.
Alternate slogan: Trapped by Blue
Collingwood
Slogan: Side by Side
Review: Another old slogan that’s been around for a few years but let’s give Pies fans a chance to finish reading it before introducing a new one.
Alternate slogan: See year five of the coaching transition
Essendon
Slogan: Don the Sash
Review: The Don the Sash part is not new and is actually pretty good. On their membership page they’ve got ‘Standing Firm?’ I like the question mark. They’re both aware you wouldn’t want to but it also reads a bit like a threat, “You’re not thinking of leaving us are you?”
As a sub heading they’ve got ‘We understand it’s not that simple’. This might be the most honest thing Essendon have said in a while.
Alternate slogan: Don the Sash, if legally allowed
Fremantle
Slogan: Forever Freo
Review: Not sure if this is a slogan or a sad realisation. I can only imagine how excited the marketing team were when they worked out a slogan containing two words starting with F.
Alternate slogan: Who wants the last slice of Pav?
Geelong
Slogan: Greatness. Our Tradition. Our Ambition
Review: Is something only going back to 2007 a tradition? I was hoping it was more a passing fad. The ambition bit is true though, given they’ve got Patrick Dangerfield now and he’ll solve all their problems.
Alternate slogan: Highway to the Dangerfield
Gold Coast
Slogan:We are Gold Coast. We are your Suns
Review: The second bit is coming on a little strong. A bit like telling someone you’re their soulmate on a first date. Slow down Suns, at least buy us a drink, which I know you like.
Alternate slogan: Suns of God
GWS
Slogan: Expect big things
Review: In my experience, saying something like this is usually overcompensating. Trust me, this is a like me on a date. Talks a good game but can’t back it up, which is the Giants in a nutshell.
Alternate slogan: Please notice us Sydney
Hawthorn
Slogan: Hawthorn. Always
Review: Just a depressing statement of reality really. I would have added a few swear words but this still works I guess.
Alternate slogan: Rinse, repeat
Melbourne
Slogan: My heart beats true
Review: It would have to be your heart because no person using their brain would fork over their hard earned based on the last decade. On the positive side, it may be a celebration that you haven’t had a heart attack watching the garbage served up under the Schwab years and the painful rebuilding the rebuild period.
Alternate slogan: See Jesse Hogan. Hurry, last shows
North Melbourne
Slogan: Shinboner Spirit. One & All
Review: Shinboner spirit is a classic but the ‘One & All’ should probably have a question mark after it to be accurate.
Alternate slogan: Watch Todd Goldstein carry a whole team
Port Adelaide
Slogan: We are Port Adelaide
Review: Another that’s been in use a few years. Useful for their fans to make sure they don’t accidentally barrack for the wrong team.
“Who are we again?”
“It’s written on your membership.”
“So you’re not going to be helpful then?”
Alternate slogan: Now with added Jimmy Toumpas
Richmond
Slogan: Strong & Bold
Review: Needs a disclaimer saying ‘offer does not apply in September’.
Alternate slogan: Secure your final tickets
St Kilda
Slogan: Be St Kilda
Review: Were was the marketing team when they came up with this? Not in the room obviously and not at that charity cricket match the whole team snubbed either. This may be the worst of the lot.
Considering they are actually based in Seaford but are moving to Moorabbin means even the club can’t ‘Be St Kilda’.
Alternate slogan: Help fund our poor home base choices
Sydney
Slogan: Welcome to the Spectacular
Review: It’s flashy with little substance so it’s perfect for the Harbour City.
Alternate slogan: You don’t have to go to ANZ Stadium anymore
West Coast
Slogan:The West is United
Review: This is really trolling given the Dockers play in the same stadium as them. The only thing Western Australia is united over is their dislike of the east coast and mining taxes.
Alternate slogan: We’re flying high but now in a good way
Western Bulldogs
Slogan: Be more Bulldog
Review: I’m not sure if being more of something that hasn’t won a premiership since 1954 is what you want. I suppose ‘Be more like Hawthorn’ would be odd though.
Alternate slogan: Still Liam Jones free

73k at the moment but we'll build that to close to 75k over the next 3 weeks. Think we can overtake Hawks by that time too. I'd say Collingwood may be around the 70k mark now. They were 55k late last year.

The changes in respective club membership tallies since early in the season pretty much reflect on-field form. Dogs up almost 18%, GWS up 13%, North up 9%, Eagles 7%, Swans & Dees up over 6%. Compare that to our 1.5% increase since April 8 thanks to our 6 straight losses before our last two wins.
