Looks like it maybe quiet this year?

Should let Gold and above free, wasn't it reward to start with?

Too many turned up for free and had to do a second one which needed to be supplemented, fair enough.

But then no one came went back to one, with dwindling numbers and still charging? Bit scumbaggy in my book......

Missed out on the free ones as I waitied for my Nephew to be old enough so we could go together 3rd one coming up, sounds better from what ive heard with less people anyway, anyone here going?

Yes it was supposed to be a reward for members but.....

Became about the Club making a $$ on it via selling guest passes

Don't go anymore because of the monumental change in what it was supposed to be about

Didn't even know this was on, I sure didn't receive an email from the club about it.

Email came out about 3-4 weeks ago

Club seems to be having a few "issues" with its CRM system

Know a few people who haven't been getting emails  :-\

It was a reward to start with a few years ago definitely, and then we quickly shot up from 40,000 members to 60,000 members. The $$ you're talking about was actually brought it to reduce the losses on it, which used to be in the six figures. We don't make a cent on the night.

But more went then than now ? And the reward is giving something back not breaking even ?

Always a great night. Get to meet and greet each player and have a jumper, poster etc signed by each one. Good food, drinks and speeches. All round well word the $30 you pay. I'd pay much more than that for what you get  :cheers

Exactly when first introduced it was to reward those who had been long time members consecutively. It was simply the club giving back. Not taking; just giving.

Now it isn't about that at all. It isn't a reward for being a member, it's just another function that Club attempts to re-coup some money rather than just giving back to people who continually hand over the hard earned.

Trust me I have a far greater understanding of the "whys and hows" it was introduced and what it's purpose originally was seeing I was on the "Members Forum" that ran with the idea of a Rewards & Recognition prgram for the members. Outside of the change itself the way the Club implemented the change a few years back was disrespectful to the membership but that is a story of another day

But more went then than now ? And the reward is giving something back not breaking even ?

Exactly CUB

Sometimes it's shouldn't be about the cost, or some fixation with trying to break even, or re-couping some of the costs sometimes the club just needs to give back like they used to when this first began

I might be alone on this but I'd prefer the club invest 300 large on player development rather than a few hundred get on the sauce for an evening midweek . There are lots of ops for folks to mingle , family day, beaconsfield training day that top a night like this  :thumbsup

I was very impressed too. Got a jumper signed by every player (only King and Morris absent I believe). Food and drinks were fantastic. I would have liked to have seen more interviews and entertainment from the club on stage though. The band was serviceable, the MC average but Dimma and the players spoke well. A few 'Inside Tiger-'like' games on stage would have been fun. They could have even made it an auction with a few players pairing up with members on stage who had won their place in an auction and then pair had a fun game on stage to win a bigger prize. Could be a handball comp or a pin the tail on the Tigger or anything like that.

All in all though it was a great night and I'll be keen to go again next year  :thumbsup

Agree with this. Whilst I would have liked to have gone I reckon it's a bit of a waste of the club's money.

Depends if they raise more money at the event through auctions etc than the event actually costs them.
