Club email:
Hi OE,
Thank you for renewing your membership. We are so fortunate to have you with us as we tackle season 2022.
The season will officially begin when our AFLW players take the field in January for their third season in the competition. We're expecting our girls to be hungrier than ever and our Football Department has worked incredibly hard to create a program to get the most out of our athletes.
Our men's players are currently freshening up after four years of going deep into finals. We're looking forward to getting a full pre-season into well-rested players and seeing them attack once again in 2022.
Your membership is the most important thing you can do for our Club and ensures long-term success is within our reach. We cannot thank you enough for committing once again.
Your membership pack will be sent out from December onwards and you will be notified when your pack is in the mail.
In the meantime, you can shop for all your Tigers gear at the Roar Store, where you receive 10% off all purchases (conditions apply, see Roar Store (https://shop.richmondfc.com.au/)). Simply log in to your account following the instructions here (https://shop.richmondfc.com.au/member-choice-member-discount-and-login-faqs/) and the discount will be automatically applied.
We're eager to make this year unforgettable for our members, so for any questions about your membership please get in touch with our Membership Team. We're here to help!
Go Tiges!

As of 15/12/2021
79,000
The Club is hoping to reach 80k before Christmas.
The membership dept. is really pleased and surprised by how we're doing. They put it down to our supporters being hungry for the footy to restart and especially see live footy at a packed stadium.
As for buying tickets each week, the Club is hoping/trying to have membership barcodes that allow for our members to book ground entry online but once you enter the stadium you'll be allowed to sit wherever you like within your category section. So if you're a GA member then you'll be able to sit anywhere in a GA area rather than having to book a specific seat that has been allocated by Ticketek/Ticketmaster.

Have any of the reserved seats been sold to new members?
One of my uncle's was saying we have lost our seats.
I hope not. Have had that seat for about 18 years straight, through thick and thin, it's a good seat and everyone in the area has grown quite fond of hanging out together.

I was told a while back the Club wants members with reserved seats to be able to sit in their same seat each week/home game while GA members will be free to sit wherever they like within the GA allocated zones. I don't know if that is what is going to happen though.

As long as you renewed by the due date you retain your seats
MT is correct; plan for 2022 is for all reserved seat holders to sit in their seats this year. Only thing that will change that is if there ends up being caps on crowds
-
That's MT and WP.
We renewed as per normal annual arrangement so I assume all is well.
Cheers

Okay, here's the latest info on seating for members this year that I have been told by the membership dept.
* Firstly, yes any member with a reserve seat will be able to seat in their same seat each week. The caveat is of course covid. This is based on the maximum allowed crowd capacity being 75% or higher. If the capacity were to drop below 75% then it becomes too difficult to move people around. Currently though they've been told max. crowd capacity is 100% so all good.
* Secondly, for GA members there's two possibilities:
1) Same as last year: the Club emails a members barcode to you and you buy a ticket online via Ticketek.
2) The Club is working with the AFL and the ticketing agencies trying to create a digital membership card so all you would need to do is scan in on match day at the ground and be able sit anywhere within the GA bays.

Email from Nisbett to members today said we [Eagles] are over 90,000 and tracking well to break 100,000 again.
But also said all seated members will fit inside the stadium with WA's current 75% capacity rule (45,000). So we must have a lot of pet members!

The way the afl is handing out kids memberships for both boys and girls make the numbers largely irrelevent.
Anyone that plays junior footy gets a membership for free, you don't even get to choose your team, they are just allocated, my daughter is a saints member, and she never asked for it, and we have never paid a cent.
You can only imagine how many thousands of kids in western Australia are in the same position for the west coast eagles.
It would be nice to see how the growth in junior memberships has changed over the last 5 years.
Its creative accounting set up to reinforce the AFL brand to the state and federal governments to increase funding from them.
Has nothing to do with supporting an AFL club.

Only thing that matters is the crowds really.

I am a reserved seat member, what do I do on game day?
Simply need to scan your Digital Membership Card to access the ground, then proceed to your set seat. If you can’t make the match, don’t forget you can forward your ticket.
My membership is in a reserved seat bay, what do I do on game day?
Simple scan in using your Digital Membership Card and proceed to your designated seating bay and select your seat.
I'm a general admission member, what do I do on game day?
All you need to do to attend the game is scan in using your Digital Membership Card. Your barcode on the card will be available from 72 hours before the game, and this is what you use to scan in. From there, proceed to the general admission areas (which change depending on the match, see MCG for more information) and select a seat. If you wish to upgrade your ticket to secure your seat, you can do this on a match-by-match basis by entering your barcode into the Ticketek website. Otherwise, we also have reserved seat membership options including level one Roaming Tiger.
Will the club continue to be digital?
Yes! All venues across Australia will continue to be digital only-venues which means no membership cards or physical tickets can be used to access games.
There are also many other benefits including being able to adapt to fixture changes across the season and members no longer have to wait to receive their card before they can go to a game
Will I still receive a 2022 membership card?
For the first time, members now have the choice to design their membership how they'd like.
All 2022 members can now choose whether to receive their 2022 commemorative membership card or not! 2022 commemorative membership cards will continue to display member's name and years of membership. Please contact the Richmond Membership Team on 1300 742 466 for your membership card enquiries.
How can I access my digital membership card?
You can access your digital membership card by downloading the official RichmondFC app. Click here for APPLE (https://apps.apple.com/au/app/richmond/id510367793) or here for GOOGLE PLAY (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.afl.afl_rich.android)
To view instructions on how to access your tickets once in the app, view the images above.
Make sure you login to your My Richmond Account (Not Ticketmaster). You will see the letter ‘R’ next to your name to signify Richmond, which means you have successfully logged in.
The app refers to tickets, is this the same as Digital Membership Card?
Yes, the Richmond app splits out your Digital Membership Card for the individual matches available to you to attend. These individual tickets are your card. When you want to attend a match, your barcode will be ready 72 hours out from the game. E.g. for Round 2 Richmond v GWS GIANTS your barcode will be ready in the afternoon of Thursday, 24 March. Simply select that game from the options and add the ticket to your wallet.
I’m a General Admission or Reserved Bay member and when I view my Digital Membership Card, it has a seat location. What does this mean?
As a general admission or reserved bay member you do not have a set seat, the information on your Digital Card is simply for counting purposes and does not relate to an assigned seat. This is also not your barcode, your barcode will be visible 72 hours out from each match. For general admission seating, you simply scan in your Digital Membership Card at the turnstiles and proceed to the general admission areas, which will be signed on a match day, and choose from any available seat. For reserved bay members, simply scan in your Digital Membership Card at the turnstiles and proceed to your specified seating bay.
I’m a general admission member, do I need to let you know I’m attending?
No, as a general admission member you can simply turn up to your chosen match and scan in using your Digital Membership Card. However, for higher demand games, or matches you want to secure your seat for, we recommend upgrading your ticket via Ticketek. All you need to do to upgrade your ticket is enter your 12-digit barcode (sent to you via email) into the password box on the Ticketek website for your selected match. It will then prompt you to choose an upgraded ticket.
Why can't I add my Digital Membership Card to my Apple Wallet yet?
You will be able to add your Digital Membership Card to your phone wallet once your barcode appears, which is 72 hours out from each match.
I can't see my barcode on my Digital Membership Card yet, when will this appear?
Your barcode will be visible in the app 72 hours out from each match. Until then, your Digital Membership Card will still be visible but without a barcode.
I'm a General Admission member who has access to three or five games, if I click on a ticket in my app does this mean I've used a game?
No, your ticket will not will not count as used until you scan through the turnstiles for your selected match. If you click on and view your ticket it will not count as used.
Where do I find my 12-digit barcode?
Your 2022 barcode has been emailed to you. If you cannot locate it, simply email membership@richmondfc.com.au or call 1300 742 466.

ONE IN 25 Australians are AFL club members, with the AFL on Monday celebrating AFL club membership numbers surpassing one million this year.
A total of 1,043,604 members have signed up to support their favourite club in 2022, surpassing the one million membership milestone 20 days ahead of the same time in 2021, in a year which saw the league achieve its all-time club membership record of 1,113,441.
The one million membership figure includes AFLW club membership which experienced an 89 per cent year-on-year growth to reach a record breaking 48,712 members for the first-time in the competition’s history.
The West Coast Eagles and Richmond continue to lead the membership tally with strong support from fans, while North Melbourne along with last year’s Grand Finalists Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs Football Clubs have achieved record-breaking club membership figures this season.

Richmond and the Tiger Army are today celebrating a fifth consecutive year of reaching 100,000 members.
The landmark half-a-million memberships over five-years displays the incredible strength of Richmond’s passionate fanbase across an industry-leading period of time.
Richmond became the first Australian sporting club to surpass 100,000 members in 2018, with the Club also breaking its all-time membership record last year.
Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said that the occasion was a time to reflect on the Tiger Army’s continued support across a sustained period.
“On behalf of our entire club, playing group, staff, and coaches, I would like to thank each of our loyal members,” he said.
“For these numbers to be maintained through unprecedented times and difficulty is a testament to the loyalty and passion of our members.
“We exist because of our members, and we are so grateful for this milestone.”
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick added that the Richmond members and supporters had been incredible.
“We have 100,000 members because our fans stick behind us in thick and thin. They have been incredible with the support they have given me and our footy club and we know that will continue.”
Thanks to the Club’s Official Membership Partner Crypto.com, Richmond will formally thank the Tiger Army as part of its Round 22 home game against Hawthorn at the MCG.

100k for West Coast is incredible.
I know we rightfully take the title of biggest club in the main and home state of footy, but 100k for a basketcase of a side for 2 years arguably 3. Is incredible.

I agree. All continual support of cheats is mindboggling.
I think more incredible is the Essendrug supporters that have stuck thick despite their cheating club trying to cheat their way to premiership glory. That whatever it takes attitude that made them turn a blind eye to blatant cheating of the system.
The Cheating Scum also have a massive 87k supporters that think it ok to cheat their way to premiership wins. Same goes with other cheats like Melbourne and Adelaide etc etc.
