Changes for next week
Out Miles In .Caddy
Out Bolton. In Butler
-
Bit harsh on Bolton, a couple of mm and he is the hero today. Would let him run on for the Dreamtime game on football's biggest stage. If he doesn't perform then let's look again at the situation at the selection table.
-
Butler for Cantkickit, Moore upgrade and in for Soldo, Lennon For Ellis (haha yeah...right),Townsend for Miles (wish Jack Graham was fit), Caddy for Prestia....
-
Out: Miles, B.Ellis
In: Caddy, Lennon

:lol .... Diabolical
If he kicks that last goal, he kicks 3 for the night out of 11 and we win the game.
It's funny that's what I think he is in the team for.
He is a good tackler and can take a great mark for a small.
The other 2 small forwards we had did less, and one was only on his 1st game. Yer, let's drop George.

So you believe his constant want to play on every time he takes a mark or gets a free is good decision making? To play on when a hold on play is better options is poor decision making. Unfortunately, he does it alot, week on week
George was better yesterday but up until yesterday his past 3 games had been poor.
Rioli was poor as well, actually extremely poor but as you rightly pointed out he isn't going to be dropped.
so one of them needs to make way for Butler so for mine it's George because Bolton shouldn't be dropped after 1 game

What about playing Castagna permanently up the ground? I.e. wing?
-
Ins: Butler Caddy Moore Lennon
Outs: Bolton, Ellis Soldo Lloyd
-
Be interesting to see if Lennon or Moore demand a call up in the vfl today. Only 2 candidates imo

Interesting
Not sure he has the tank. Not sure with his "iffy" kicking / decision making it's a viable option now

In:
Caddy
Butler
Out:
Miles
Castagna
I would also play McIntosh as a leading CHF as IMO he struggles down back. If not forward, wing or RR.

I've quite liked mcintosh the last few weeks. Been making good decisions most of the time and hitting targets. Little bit of run as well

Essendon should be up about after rolling Geelong and then flogging the flat trackers.....

Thought yesterday was one of his best games for us. Decision making was sound and took some strong grabs. Has improved his tackling technique 100 fold too

He has but i worry about his ability to spoil and he runs over the top of a lot of balls when it's on the ground. Not great below his knees which concerns me for a backman. Definitely best 18 for sure.

Don't see Dimma making any surprising changes such as dropping favourites. Expecting something predictable like:
In: Elton, Caddy, Butler
Out: Soldo, Miles, Lloyd

RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Ivan Soldo came in to replace Todd Elton but had a similar impact as a key forward, taking two marks and failing to earn a shot on goal. Anthony Miles had 15 disposals but isn’t the same player he was two years ago. Jason Castagna was lively again but his set shot goalkicking has been an issue all year.
ON THE CUSP: Josh Caddy pulled out at the last minute and should return against the Bombers, while Dan Butler will be considered after a week off — although his replacement Shai Bolton was lively. Elton might have done enough to earn a recall with three goals in the VFL while Ben Lennon kicked two to go with 18 disposals.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: What more can we say about Saturday afternoon, and the Tigers’ past three weeks? In an alternate universe Richmond wins those three games and is a game clear on top of the ladder. In the reality we are stuck in they are just hanging on in the eight and facing a red-hot Essendon. Dreamtime at the G doesn’t get much bigger. The Tigers have won their past five against Essendon but it could come down to Alex Rance v Joe Daniher.

This (well, not sold on CHF but agree with your point). He started the year pretty poor, came back to play on the wing and was showing some form and was the only bloke who could hit a target in the F50 and they put him back in the backline ::). Losing Vlas probably forced our hand a little and it's not like McIntosh was poor to be fair but I'm sure there were other viable options

In the mix: Who's in your team's selection thinking?

The Tigers are confident midfielder Josh Caddy will be fit to take on Essendon on Saturday night after being withdrawn late against GWS because of groin soreness.
Small forward Dan Butler also pulled up from round eight with groin soreness and was not named against the Giants, but he should return, meaning at least two changes for the Tigers.
The match committee then needs to make a decision on its support ruckman, with Ivan Soldo and Todd Elton both struggling to impact games when given their chance. Soldo could be omitted to give Elton (three goals in the VFL) another chance, or the Tigers could take a new, smaller approach in the ruck, like the Western Bulldogs have. They are growing desperate, however, for an in-form tall target in attack.
Ben Lennon booted two goals in the VFL and is a likely option if the Tigers make a structural change.

Yep]

We in for a shellacking
Well the experts on here predicted a colonoscopy against the Bulldogs and Giants too . Turns out we are agonizingly close .
Im sure an insipid performance is just around the corner , which will make many happy .
-
Don't think the playing group will stand for much more of this
No close game this week
Think we will wipe the floor with them
-
Great....10-goal loss coming up now...

Lock it in

won't make me happy but I think after three gut busting efforts with no result, some poo pushing umpiring and a rejuvenated Essendrug desperately trying to recapture all their bitter supporters and stick it up the AFL we are due for a flame out game.
-
I hope I am wrong but believe that we are at real risk of being thrashed by Essendon.
-
Dan Butler will miss another week but Shai Bolton will keep his place in Saturday night’s Dreamtime game with Essendon. Josh Caddy will also return.
