Hogan, Jesse is the best tall in the country and

Viney, Jack
Toumpas, Jimmy
Trengove, Jack

should be the equal on most mids 3 years from now.

what a load of shyte in the tankers are given more draft picks / even put forward a form to the AFL commission requesting more highly rated juniors before other clubs...

the leaves us with the Australian Football League:

* Drug Cheats. A team captain says he took drugs and the AFL allow him to play out the season.
* Melbourne. The team which got rid of every decent mature player wanting to fast track success by uber-rebuilding end up tanking, getting fined, given money, roos etc.
* Carlton. Rubber salary cups with Judd being payed by Al Gore.
* GWS / Sydney. Seemingly allowed to pay whatever they want
* Vlad saying Hawthorn can make Franklin an ambassador of football and pay him what ever continuing to live in melbourne.
* inventing two new bullshyte teams for the dollar - making Richmonds list rebuilding as difficult as possible
* Carlton cheats
* Collingwood tanked
* rooting the VFL / Reserves /u19s
* plasticizing the sport to the final frontier
* instead of making every team play every team once or twice they just invent a stupid crap 'which ever makes my TV money overlords most happy rubbish fixture
*mid strength beer and spirits for unethical prices

what a load of bulldust 'league' is this.

 AFL, the only comp in the world that encourages poorly run organisations to spend it like its tattslotto money bc they'll just come in and fix it all up for them.

If they give them a PP, on top of all the handouts they are continually given, they can all GAGF.

Agreed what will pi$$ me of will be if in 3 years time they are in finals thanks to the tanking and all the help and the fact that on field statistically they were worse than us at our lowest ebb in 2009, yet we have had to scrap for everything. Sure when we succeed it will be sweeter but the rules just keep on changing to suit whatever issue seems to be forefront.
Garbage competition.

Maybe we should ask for retrospective priority picks for 2 finals series in 30 years? Imagine the squad we could build... :shh

It's hard to see Roos turning the Dees around in just two years. When he got the Sydney gig, he inherited a side that had a strong culture, consistently played finals more often than not and was well resourced by the AFL paying over the cap due to the Sydney-living allowance. If the Dees are still a long way from being a finals contender and haven't solved their culture problem after Roos' term has ended which is the more likely possibility then the club is back to handing control to an inexperienced coach.

Melbourne are like a star. They long ago ran out of hydrogen and started to collapse. The big guns are now out and in a last ditch effort will look big and bright, burning through that helium, before they ultimately go pop and fade away as the piddly little dwarf that they are.

Yeah but Roos gets a lot of credit for turning around the culture of the Swans that was actually initiated by Barrassi and Paul Kelly and was more player driven than anything he did himself.

Peter Jackson is also no Richard Colless

"He led the club to it’s first premiership in 72 years. He helped establish the Bloods culture, he is on a pedestal at the Swans and I’m unbelievably disappointed in his actions.
"I consider taking players from the academy he has helped build is an absolute breach of protocol and a gentleman’s agreement.
The young midfielder from St George has been compared with Swans co-captain Kieren Jack and has leadership qualities to match his skills.
He earned All Australian selection and has won the prestigious Cameron Ling and Ben Mitchell medals.

MELBOURNE has revealed it cost the club $1.45 million to clear the decks and install the Paul Roos regime.

CEO Peter Jackson said on Monday the club's "management restructure" included a $1 million grant and $450,000 from the AFL in matched club fundraising.
