Hope Richmond is in his will.
RIP Crazy!
-
I recently read a memo that he sent to his workers, I don't think they will be grieving too much.
-
They're talking about it on SEN now.
He was only 42. RIP :(.

Hope Richmond is in his will.
RIP Crazy!
I guess whether we are or not might show what his future intentions of whether he was always going to be all talk or actually do something at this club to match the talk.
But R.I.P. Crazy John, you were a good businessman, no doubt about that.
-
The Richmond Football Club expressed its sympathies.
"John was a passionate supporter and member of the club," said Richmond chief executive Steven Wright.
"He was a regular attendee at our games and functions and was always willing to assist his beloved Tigers in whatever way he could.
"His devotion to the yellow and black cause extended to a valuable sponsorship through his company Crazy John's.
"John's enthusiasm and energy around the club will be sadly missed by us all.
"On behalf of the club's directors, players, coaches, officials, staff, and all Tiger supporters, we extend our deepest sympathy to John's family, friends and the staff at Crazy John's."

A very sad day indeed.
My better half met John 2 months ago at MSAC as she is involved with the South Dragons NBL team of whom Crazy Johns is a major sponsor.
She came home and told me about a very engaging half hour chat she had with him and found him quite a unique and driven man, who had an amazing passion for life, his family and of course his work.
There were subtle hints as well about his future plans to become involved with the RFC, which will never come to fruition now.
I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones.
PS.To all those detractors of John on our forum a few months back, please remember Life is Short!
-
did he leave us in his will, RFC could do with some cash. RIP anyway.
-
PS.To all those detractors of John on our forum a few months back, please remember Life is Short!
Surely we're entitled to our opinion!
At least we said things while he was alive rather than the Chasers who wait till their dead!
Never knew the man, didn't care to meet him.
Feel sorry for those who were his friends, his family, those who will genuinely miss him.
Not going to trash the guy, because I didn't know him but when it comes to the RFC and his association with it, as a paid up member, I'm entitled to voice any concerns in relation to the club. And we did, so what! So get off your high horse.
-

Yep. Especially feel sorry for his 4 kids (one just 8-months old apparently) :(.
He was a master at generating publicity for him and his business which is what made him such a successful businessman.

dont worry moi, i will trash him for u.
i dont really give a toss that he is dead and dies. more important ppl have died and no one has given a poo about.
so what , just because because he is dead now, does not mean we have to feel sorry for him and pretend he was a nice guy.
crazy john was a w@nker and fos, he used the rfc for free publicity. smart move by him, but still a slimy dirty move.
ppl say terry is the oily salesman, well crazy john is teh mutha of all oily salesmen,
and btw, i never did and never will by a phone from crazy johns cos all their stores are fos
crazy john is dead, who cares, and dont worry , his family will get over his death asap as soon as they count the cash
-
If Crazy John cared about the Tiges as much as he said he would where was he in the recent slugging match between Carlton and Richmond when they were squabbling for Judd's services. If Crazy John had got involved the way Pratty did with his brown paper bags then Juddy may have been in black and yellow next year and not navy blue by giving Miller the backing to move heaven and earth to get him rather than the avenues we resorted to. That's where his love for Richmond would have been proven or reaffirmed depending on how you look at things and not using us every so often as a guise to promote his business interests.
Nevertheless RIP and despite the obvious financial advantages his family will inherit it is the kids who will miss their father and grow up without him that I feel for right now.
-
Horrible for someone at that age with a young family to die 'just like that' really horrible ..
Are any of his kids male ? make sure you send round some tiger players Richmond so they know and grow up to be tigers like their old man. :thumbsup
-
The 8 month old is a boy. Love him or hate him, it's sad to think this little boy will grow up not knowing his father.
-
when the kid works out his share of the 300 million im sure he'll get over it.
-
when the kid works out his share of the 300 million im sure he'll get over it.
exactly1
no one gives a poo about all the poor kids who lose their parents!
why should i feel sorry for a rich sleezy salesman who made millions.
his family will recover and get over it really fast.
think about the poor kids who are orphaned, they are the ones we should feel sorry for
-
As a father of four yourself, X, do you think your kids judge you by your bank balance?
Farcical stuff lol

Everything except the bolded one is spot on the money X. Right now there would be a family struggling to make end meet after losing a father/hudband but no one gives a stuff, but this rich guy gets front page news.
HOWEVER I dont know about getting over it real fast, its still a big loss to them.

imagine his life insurance (added to what he already has/had)
yep his family will recover real fast

Like any amount of money is going to replace your husband or father.
You are a tosser X.

X, how about his family will recover EASIER.
The family will still go through the personal heartache as much as any other family but will have no financial heartache like most tragedies so relatively less to deal with.
So I disagree about faster but it'll be easier on them due to the financial legacy.
-
Obviously money is all that matters to x. Sad.
-
Some of the posts on this topic make me sick. Personal opinions of the man aside (not that many of you probably even knew him to form an opinion) his family and friends will be having a tough time and to take pot shots at this time is just cheap and nasty. Sure there are plenty of others that are worse off that his family and going through tough times but that measures up to nil wen you have lost a husband, father, son, etc.....

The poo u go on about would be enough to embarrass the hell out of any
adult.

l cannot imagine the hourendous posts l have read in this thread
Fevola's Dad told me a another friends funeral yesterday of JI passing at the same age as me
As l knew JI & l find it very degrading to read greedy supporters can say such things
firstly JI love was firstly soccer & then our code & RFC which he gave huge ammounts of money to charity & sponsorship over the years
how much do some of you people think 1 guy has to give & keep giving in his life so young cut short
l can tell you he gave a large ammounts of money in his life to many charities
He was a successful buisnessman like any other they do whatever it takes to make it & he did
just drop this outrages remarks for all you stupid posters l hope his kids & wife dont read this forum remember kids do use internet & wouldnot surprise me they look at all stuff posted about there father & husband
l feel his wife & children will be victims of the starved Richmond supporters who dont know when to control themselves at important times in there lives
God rest his sole & condolences to his wife & children & his entire family
this is a tragedy & l'm purely shocked :'(

Agree Babsky. No amount of money will ever compensate the loss of a partner/parent especially at such a young age.
-
what the stuff has money got to do with anything when someone dies
if you want plenty of money get off your lazy asses & earn it like every other idiot on this planet
-
Agree Tigermonk.....why do we always become so cricitical of people's success - jealousy, regret, insecurities????? I am sure his friends and family loved him for who he was before his success and celebrated alongside him.
-
what the eff has money got to do with anything when someone dies
if you want plenty of money get off your lazy asses & earn it like every other effer on this planet
and if you had a rich old man youd just sit back and wait for your relatives to hijack the loot. ;D
who are you kidding.
-
It might be an idea if some have nothing good to say about someone then it's better to say nothing :whistle
-
I agree one-eyed. It really shows the true character of people, in the way they, stick their boots in at times like these, regardless of how others may be feeling. I'm not saying they have to pretend they like him......just keep your opinions to yourself at such a time
-
WHOOPDI DOO.
i dont care that he dies , has nothing to do with me, and i dont feel anythiing for him or his family, just like if i died, would they give a poo about me
if he wasnt a rich bastard no one would even be talking about him
i have had family members dies recently also, i have had my father pass away when i was 16, and i can tell you now, if my dad had 300 million, it woudl have made life alot easier
i am entitled to my opinion
his family will recover and get over him fast. just like some of you guys have your opinion i have mine.
i dont care that he dies, dont give a toss
i care more about the poor kid shoved in a suit case
who gives a f about crazy john, he died of a HA, stiff poo, another poor kid gets shaked to death and stuffed in a suit case...........thats who i feel sorry for
and all you DH who judge me, FU all, i will still sleep tonight
-

Correct!
-
Like any amount of money is going to replace your husband or father.
You are a tosser X.
I agree... losing a parent is not something I wish upon anyone. Just because he has a large bank balance does not mean a thing. I bet the family would give it all up to have him back.

my father was wealthy
l made every dollar l got myself & l owned it all before my father died & left me shitloads more including properties they pull in a very good weekly income
l been working since 13 years old & long hours thats why l got where l am today stuffing loaded
l still work my 2 buisnesses & provide jobs for people does that made me a idiot also
-
It's got nothing to do with how much money you have, more how many people turn up at your funeral.
I think Ilhan's will be standing only.

i care more about the poor kid shoved in a suit case
Whereas the rest of us are think that poor little b@stard got what he deserved?
Why not be sympathetic to both tragedies.

just face it, his family will get over him fast.

all i have said is that ilhams family will recover and get over him fast.
sure they will miss him, (i wont) but that does not mean thay wont recover and move on quickly
now the irwins miss steve, but they have moved on quickly also.
bindi was very close to her dad, she is very young, but even she is moving on.
look at the afl boss fonzi dimitripoo. lost his wife to cancer, a yr later remarried = moved on
sure they miss they deceased relos, but they move on quick and get over it
ilhams wife and kids will never struggle to make ends meet, bills will never be an issue, they will move on fast .
all u dheads who a laying in to me just cos i have an opinion, go f urselves

I thought this thread was about Crazy John. ???
-
I've split the thread and put the rest on the general discussion board.
