Title: Time Machine
Post by: wayne on May 09, 2007, 11:57:15 AM
I know you can't change history and what's done is done, but this is how our team could have looked if we had a time machine and could go back and change our picks from 1997 to 2003.

These were all players available at the time we had a draft pick. I have left in Richmond players that were the best pick at the time. No rookie players in here either nor Richmond players already on the list, it's just a team of what could have been.

B: T. Makepeace - A. Kellaway - G. Johncock
HB: L. Gilbee - C. Cornes - A. Selwood
C: M. Rischitelli - C. Bruce - A. Embley
HF: P. Chapman - M. Pavlich - D. Swan
F: M. Williams - N. Thompson - J. Schulz
R: B. Hudson - D. Kerr - D. Cross
Int: N. Malceski - M. Coughlan - K. Simpson - B. Peake

Not a huge amount of talls, but it's a handy team.

Chubba came off our supplementary list which pre-dated the rookie list.

The backline is the weak link there. Both Chubba and Makepeace delisted last year. Forward line is strong albeit slightly top heavy and the midfield is decent. Take out Schulz and add Wells. Need another ruckman on the bench and a key defender of two though. We missed out on poor Kepler Bradley for Browny. The one time going for the recycled player was the right move lol.

AK did actually get drafted, about pick 71 or something, prior to that he was on the RFC supp list.
