Riewoldt highly likely to come back in according to Dimma.
Fire away with your changes?
-
Any injuries
-
In: Riewoldt
Out: McIntosh
Nothing really against Kamdyn, just think Riewoldt has to come in for Demons because he and Lynch will spread their backline to breaking point.
Can't see who else can go out. Maybe Higgins for a spell?
-
thought it was one of Maccas best games tonight....Bellis out for Jack
-
INS: Jack Reiwoldt
OUTS: Jack Higgins
-
INS: Jack Reiwoldt
OUTS: Jack Higgins
Keeps our quota of Jacks constant. :shh
-
You can't drop Higgins after 25 disposals.
Leave Balta in for ruck relief
In Reiwoldt, Menadue, Naish
Out Castagna, Stack(rest), Rioli (rest/injured)
-
No vfl this week so can’t see anyone breaking into the team.
Riewoldt will be the in, the out is anyone’s guess.
-
INS: Jack Reiwoldt
OUTS: Jack Higgins
Interesting call. Thought Higgins was fine last night, without being outstanding.
Defintely 5+ players I could think of before dropping Higgins.
-
Kmac and higgo were good last night.
George will be the one that leaves the side I think.
-
IN: Riewoldt
OUT: Castagna Balta
-

Balta kicked 2 and is very important as a chop out for Nank.

Yes I agree. But I didn’t know who else to drop. It’s a very hard decision

Well you can if youu value quality over quantity
Though his 1st half was average and he was Ok in the 2nd
Castagna won't get dropped because of his tackling pressure
I'd drop BEllis for his "efforts" of again refusing to make contests. BEllis' whole career was summed up in the space of 10 minutes in the final qtr on the far wing. Refused to chase, chose to jog, stood back and watched instead of going fpr a contest and then lays a brilliant bome crunching tackle.... "All seasons in 10 minutes"

Agree about Higgins-
Bellis had his Bellis moments again last night but was ok i thought and I’m his biggest critic.
He definitely runs harder one way than the other- but most players do when you think about it especially outside players.
He doesn’t get dropped on that game imo.

I for one wouldn’t be disappointed if I never saw Brandon Ellis ever again in a Richmond jumper.
I just can’t stand his softness. I like how he was kicking longer and there was less backward and sideways kicks. He is the exact opposite of a player you want scared of making mistakes, scared of contact, won’t go in but will wait to tackle, scared to kick it long inside forward 50 doesn’t take risks or create play and did I mention scared pooless.
The exact opposite of say new boy Stack.
-
Thought Bellis was good again last night. There you go AT.

Very good in the first half, dropped off in the second. Holds his spot on the wing.
-
Should be dropped for Riewoldt: Castagna
Will be dropped fur Riewoldt: Balta
Cotchin back the week after I think...be interesting to see who makes way for him... :shh

even Richo called him out last night in the 3rd qtr...his fear cost us 2 goals in the 3rd

If Jack comes in at guess Balta will be dropped because of team balance reasons not because of form. Agree with comments by WP about Higgins.
-
I wouldn't drop any of our youngsters unless they are sore and need a rest.
They have been important in rejuvenating our side and making us far less predictable. Having the same old players playing every week means the opposition teams have lots and lots of info on how to play you. They know nothing about Ross, Balta, Stack and Bolton...... :shh

In:Jack
Out:With such a short turnaround someone won’t come up.

They know Stacks more now !

Yep, has been a big reason for the improved last 2 weeks.

In the Mix - Round 6

Get them in: Coming off a four-day break, the Tigers may have several changes up their sleeve. Jack Riewoldt (wrist) is likely to return, while a VFL bye over the weekend will mean there will be a few fresh players in the wings. Jack Graham, Connor Menadue, Dan Butler and Jacob Townsend are all options if required.
Under the pump: Odd to say after 16 goals in his first four games, but Tom Lynch may be in line for a break after being held goalless against Sydney and an extremely limited pre-season. Kane Lambert was quiet by his standards with just 13 touches.
Medical room: No new injuries to report, although Daniel Rioli looked sore and sorry for himself immediately following the match, having suffered a corked thigh. Skipper Trent Cotchin is still a week away with a hamstring injury.
Verdict: Riewoldt for Rioli in a safety-first policy off a four-day break, while Graham may come in for Lambert to bring fresh legs into the side.

Jack's back according to Dimma :thumbsup.
Riewoldt, Butler, Graham, Menadue, Garthwaite & Soldo were all part of the 28 (along with the 22 who played against the Swans) who trained today.
-
I’m worried that we will be too top heavy with Jack back. We need to keep our re-found defensive pressure.

Yes I'm sure Lynch & Lambert will both be omitted... ::)

It will still be the same number of talls as it would be with Rance still in the side...in fact if anything, probably one less..... :shh
-
That is true. I was more referring to our forward line with Jack, Lynch, Caddy and Balta all potentially playing there at certain stages. Plenty of scoring ability between them, just wondering if we will sacrifice too much forward half pressure with that mix.

Maybe the club thinks Bolton wants out?
Some on here have mentioned that they are resigned to losing him.
If the club agreed, then surely they would prefer to give games to other players if possible.
-
People are resigned to losing Bolton for the mere fact that he’s from Western Australia

The why did we draft him??
We should be playing him big time.

Thanks Roosy but maybe they'd play him because not only would they be trying to win this year, they'd also like to increase his trade value... :shh

....or it could just be the fact it's been repeatedly mentioned to them by people who would know since he's been drafted... :shh :shh

The Roosy reference escapes me, but I have a sneaking suspicion that bringing Jack in indicates the club wants to win. I reckon Bolton was stiff to miss, but apart from maybe Castagna who I think was lucky, can't see who would come out for Jack's return.
Anyway, here is to Jack having a great game with Lynch, and Bolton pressing for an immediate recall from the VFL.
