I can't make it anyway but I think unless you have a VFL membership they are charging normal AFL prices.
If you make it to the game Capt. let us know how our youngsters went as well as how Krak did.

Cats boosted for Tigers clash

Geelong today has the chance to atone for its 77-point thrashing at the hands of North Ballarat in last week's VFL opening round when it hosts the Coburg Tigers at Skilled Stadium in a curtain-raiser to the AFL game between the Cats and Hawthorn.
The Geelong VFL team has been strengthened by the addition of tall forward Charlie Gardiner, who was dropped from the senior team, and dashing midfielder David Wojcinski, who is regaining touch and fitness after returning from a knee injury. Gardiner, midfielder Brent Prismall and key defender Tom Longeran are the VFL team's players who have been named as emergencies for the Cats' seniors.
Coburg Tigers, who lost to Northern Bullants by 27 points in the opening round, have been boosted by the addition of defender Nathan Foley and small forward Andrew Krakouer, who were both dropped from the Richmond team. Foley, Adam Pattison and Cleve Hughes have been named as the emergencies for Richmond, which is to play against West Coast at Subiaco tonight.

Foley was unlucky to be dropped so good to see him in the bests.
According to Wez on Y&B info Rodan had 20 possies.
3 goals and high-teen disposals is what Krakouer needs to do in the seniors. Good on him for not dropping his head after being demoted but I would still like him to stay at Coburg and show this form consistently before getting another game with the seniors.

On FoxFooty, they showed the Coburg players coming off the ground, just before the Geelong game. They had Krak on screen and he was wearing number 78. Didn't know jumper numbers went that high.

Exactly when he first met Terry Wallace is a little hazy in Andy Collins recollection, but the impact is not. Wallace, then a triple premiership player with Hawthorn, was nearing the end of his nine years at Glenferrie Oval.
By his recollection, Collins said the two might have been teammates for just the one season. He doubts whether they ever played together, however they did spend plenty of nights alongside each other on the training track, and that is where Wallace left an indelible impression.“Obviously, I used to train a lot with the senior group, and in particular I used to train against Terry Wallace,” Collins said. “He would continually beat me no wonder I could never get a game!” “I learned a lot from training with Terry Wallace. He wasn’t very quick or overly strong, but he just knew where to position himself to get the ball.”
Collins has actually shaped a lot of his philosophies on winning the football from Wallace’s style. “I’ve brought in some team rules based on that,” he said. When Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson decided that his and
Collins’ football philosophies were not in sync, Collins knew his time at Box Hill was up.
He decided to call Wallace to discuss the coaching post at the Coburg Tigers, Richmond’s VFL partner. “I really wanted to stay in coaching, and it was made quite clear there wasn’t an opportunity at Box Hill,” Collins said. “I knew David Flood (2004-05 Coburg Tigers coach) had moved on, so I rang Terry to see if they would be looking for a coach on a part-time basis. It worked out very well.”
Only 16 players return from last year’s Coburg Tigers list, with the oldest player just 23. Eric Kuret, who has stepped down from the captaincy as he makes the transition from student to full time employment, boasts the most VFL experience on the list with 69 games. On paper, it would appear the Coburg Tigers face a formidable task, but that doesn’t faze Collins, a veteran of 212 VFL/AFL games, in the slightest. “Our current system demands that soon as you turn 18 you make the transition into senior football. These young boys need to become men very quickly. I bet they don’t go up to their opponent and ask how old they are. “Our job as coaches is to prepare these guys. I believe the biggest learning curve is between 18 and 22. It is dramatic how quickly players make the transition - how old was Chris Judd when he won the Brownlow Medal?”
The word “finals” isn’t even in Collins’ vocabulary. “I will never talk finals about any of my teams. We have a bigger vision for our team here.” It seems Andy Collins could not be happier to be back working with his famous former teammate of 20 years ago.

Yeap it's requirement of the VFL that AFL listed players who will not normally play in the VFL (eg blokes coming back from injury) wear really high numbers (from 65 onwards). Last week for example Ray Hall wore no.: 75

The highest number i can rememberin the seniors is Ian Owen at 52.

Chris Pym 53 ? What number was Craig lambert when he started 54 ??

But Owen kept that number through his career - i would have dumped it as soon as i could.

IIRC it use to be that in the rare case any U19 player got a seniors game he was given a high 50's or the highest number 60.

Ryan O'Connor on Coburg
* Staff played a half and looks to be ready for the seniors this week.
* Krakouer was very good and kicked 3 goals. Probably would've liked a few more possessions but the forwards were starved in the last.
* Rodan was back to his best this week. Would have put his name forward for senior selection.
* Next weekend - traditional (last 3-4 years) Anzac Day clash vs Box Hill at 2pm, Coburg City Oval. Reserves play Sunday.
