After Round 22: 9-12. The Tigers have progressed from 16th to ninth in just two years under coach Terry Wallace and this is the year many of the club's success-starved fans believe will result in a long overdue finals appearance. But with a tough draw - return matches against last year's grand finalists Sydney and West Coast plus two trips to Adelaide and Perth, the Tigers might find themselves missing out again after five ninth-placed finishes in the past 13 years. Injury-free years from Matthew Richardson and Nathan Brown would probably guarantee a finals berth but the loss of Coughlan is a big blow while the defence looks vulnerable.

easy fixed, drop tiv, replace with howat
