brayshaw = pretender.
north = loser
this club will always struggle to get bums on seats. :lol
-
Surely if AFL ever had to bail them out.
Next time they want to move the club the AFL won't let them refuse.
-
This club is a disgrace.
Who cares. Glad its all over now they can concentrate on playing in front of massive home crowds of 15000.
-
hope those chairs didn't scratch their state of the art basketball court

You're being to generous Tucker ...15K they'll be lucky to 10K to their home games against low drawing sides.
When they play teams like us they'll get 35-40K and yell from the rood at Etihad that they can draw crowds.. problem will be of the say 35k; 28k will be tiger fans

I'm a generous man Willy. ;D
Yep remember our game at Etihad against them in 2009. Our end of the ground where the cheer squad was, was full and their end had two full bays empty with a splattering of fans in their cheer squad. The crowd was further supplemented by neutrals who wanted to get out of the rain and have a night on the town and looking to kill time as well as those people in reserved seats on the second level.
Their lifeblood is not the few members they have but home games against the Big 4 clubs who have drawing power and will boost up their meagre coffers.

Exactly Tucker
I expect them to be extinct or the AFL will relocate them to Tassie within the next 3 years. And when the AFL shunt off to Tassie the pot of gold they were offerded last time wont be there :clapping

The Norf Big Footy stuff is hilarious. There latest ideas have been 1) target the jews = result, they realise they cant target the jews coz Melbourne and afew other clubs have got all the jewish supporters 2) target the greek community = result they realise they cant target the greeks because Richmond and Collingwood have them covered, 3) They are now up to the Africans. Give it afew days and we'll find out what theyre thinking on that is.
Norf supporters are getting desperate, only 21,000 members just days out from the start of the season. Its not looking flash for them!
-
Majak Daw would be the reason, bet they try and get the Sudanese and the Somali communities on board. Hence they might play him week in week out regardless of form to try and tap into that market by having a player in the side playing senior footy every week. DOn't know where it might fit with team balance and the rest of the playing roster let alone the coaching staff and their prospects on making the 8. :help
If so you'll find that this situation will be the equivalent to Karmichael Hunt this year and Israel Folau next year not getting dropped from GC or GWS regardless of their form. Difference is there those teams will have no expectation in the inaugural seasons and thus if forced to carry them will be more of a marketing gimmick with no real effect on the prospects of the club for the season. :thumbsup

An old mate of mine often refers to St Kilda as the jews? Ill have to ask him whether that is in relateion to the club, the suburb or both.

Ballarat still on AFL's mind
by: Matt Windley From: Herald Sun October 31, 2011 12:00AM
BALLARAT will host AFL games for premiership points in "three to five years" if North Melbourne has its way, according to chief executive Eugene Arocca.
And after scheduling a NAB Cup game in the Goldfields region next season, the AFL says it is open to taking home-and-away matches to the town.
North's plan to play in Ballarat stalled last year after a $30m pledge by the former Labor government to redevelop Eureka Stadium came to nothing after it lost the 2010 state election.
But the AFL's decision to pit the Kangaroos against the Western Bulldogs in a NAB Cup game at the ground on March 11 has reinvigorated the club's hopes.
"I would be disappointed if this is not just the first step," Arocca said.
"This should be the first of a number of steps - including having two NAB Cup games a season in Ballarat.
"I think it's important that Ballarat people come out and attend and watch and support ... it's now a NAB Cup fixture as opposed to a regional challenge game, that immediately gives it more significance."
AFL chief operating officer Gillon McLachlan said the league's decision to schedule the NAB game in Ballarat was recognition of the Kangaroos' desire to continue forging ties with the region.
"There's 400,000 people up there who love their football," McLachlan said.
He said the league continued to have "general chats" with the State Government about the redevelopment.
Arocca said he hoped the plan would come to fruition in the next three to five years. The redevelopment was vital for North's ability to take premiership fixtures to the town.

We can't talk we played in 3 cities last year.
