Heaps. Know almost every play . Never get sick of seeing Adelaide capiculating to the unrelenting tiger pressure.
Sometimes I mix it up and give the preliminary a viewing and just watch in awe at our vast army of followers.

^ This
And the QF a few times also -Happy days
-
I also love watching that last qtr versus Geelong in the Qualifying final.
My god that was good.
-
I've lost count :cheers

Lost count. Onto watching the Prelim and Qual finals again.

Not sure the count but lots. Got sick of the 7 call so it had been a while since the last time but I got the bluray for Christmas so I watched it again with the Triple M call and then watched the finals again. Interesting watching the finals again after watching the granny several times as I watched some players in a different light as I did before the grand final and I think I might have been a bit harsh on some.
-
I've seen it once when we were there and thats if
-
Lost count!! Still not sick of it either
-
QF x3
PF x2
GF x2
Season Highlights x1
With more to come :yep.
-
Your lucky guys haven't watched it once or any other final only highlights. I'm in Abu Dhabi can't see full match on youtube either have to wait till I get back to Oz.
-
Watched it again last night :thumbsup.
Aside from the Betts one, I still can't see where all the Adelaide whinging about the umps comes from. Not the umps or our fault that Crow players kept stupidly scragging us and grabbing fists full of jumper ::). Watching it again the umps were very consistent on that, plus high on or over the shoulder tackles and deliberate out of bounds. The game was well umpired IMO as they let the game flow. Adelaide just couldn't handle our pressure and we got into the heads which saw them made more and more brainfades as the game went on.

They have to have some excuse for losing to a team they considered to be vastly inferior.
I still find it interesting that before the game, while the state of South Australia and the media saw the Crows are pretty hot favourites, the bookies didn't see it that way.

Nothing gave me more happiness than a week after the game chatting with a bloke from work (huge dees fan) that told me he turned off in disgust halfway through the third quarter because the umpires were clearly "making sure Richmond won that one." Lol. :thatsgold

When I watched it again most recently it was probably with the clearest head of any time I had watched it as it had been a month at least since the previous time. The non-call on Grimes against Betts was the only shocker. We played them off the park for three and a half quarters and if their defenders didn’t pull on so many jumpers (must have been an instruction?) then maybe they wouldn’t have given away so many free kicks. Still wouldn’t have helped them though. They simply got outplayed and you could tell from the moment they ran into the field that they had the wrong attitude

Yep dwaino and outcoached too.
The Richmond 2017 Season Highlights DVD is great to watch too as Rance gives a lot of insight into the GF towards the end of it such as explaining our plan to deny Adelaide those '45' kicks by picking them off which then forced the Crows into kicks down the line. We really did a job on them :thumbsup.
-
ps. The Season Highlights DVD also shows all the camera shots they have of Richo while he was sitting on the boundary watching the GF. It's funny as! :lol :rollin The big fella is a just a big Tiger supporter kid at heart. Worth getting the DVD just for this if you haven't seen it. Seriously, hilarious stuff! :rollin

I feel that is a tad harsh on Don Pyke. A coach is responsible for a lot of things, but if his team doesn't bring the intensity required, it is not really his fault.
When Adelaide played West Coast at the end of the season and lost at Subi, one of the commentators on ABC radio made the point, which I thought was very valid in watching replays of the GF, that he thought Adelaide was one of the most inflexible teams of 2017. Their forwards are forwards and their backmen are backmen and never the twain shall meet. Their midfielders are good, but they don't have a lot of depth there either.
There is no denying that we were brilliantly coached on the day. Our match-ups were perfect and we executed all day long. Once his game plan fell apart under our pressure and tactics, I am not sure what Pyke could have done. In hindsight, they were too top heavy against a team that was smaller and quicker.
After watching the GF a number of times now :) I am of the opinion that the Crows overachieved this season. You have to give Pyke credit for that.

The Crows did turn up to play though. They kicked the first two goals and were leading at 1/4 time.
While it was our pressure that eventually broke them, Adelaide's gamestyle isn't suited to the MCG with its wider wings. They struggled in all 4 games at the 'G this year. They came from behind to beat Hawthorn when the Hawks were rubbish early on in the season; they barely got over the line against bottom 2 side Carlton; and they were 50 pts down against another mediorce side in the Pies before coming back to draw. You're not going to win a flag if you can't play well at the 'G and that's a gamestyle/coaching issue. Off all the interstate teams, only the Swans can handle playing at the MCG (they ran out of puff in their SF against Geelong and genuinely didn't turn up to play).
Furthermore, even if it was all in vain, Pyke could have chucked the magnets around at 3/4 time given Walker & especially Jenkins were totally useless as key forward targets while Lynch was being well contained by Broad. Sheedy turned the tide in the 1984 GF when he swapped his forwards & backs at 3/4 time. Duckworth & Weston were thrown forward and the likes of Baker & Watson as small forwards tore Hawthorn apart in the last qtr. Barassi of course told Carlton 44 pts down at half-time of the 1970 GF to handball like mad and play on at all costs. Great coaches can make things happen. You're may be 100% right Slipper and Adelaide are too positioning inflexible but that doesn't excuse the coach from being equally inflexible. You might as well try something different especially when you're losing an all-or-nothing Grand Final.

Thats one of the funniest things watching the replays, he didn't do one thing different and the cuts to him in the coaching box looking like a stuffed manikin is a joy to behold
-
Hawthorn didn't have Rance in '84. :shh
If I was Pyke I would've at least moved Betts & Cameron to the half back flanks about halfway through the third......
-
My view once we got out of second gear after a slow start Crows couldn't go with us they were left wondering.
-
About 17 times.
-
How many times before you noticed that there were actually other players out there besides Edwards?
-
Just picked up our ultimate season pack from jb hifi for $120. Getting closer to watching the granny
-
Seen it a number of times.
I reckon after the first 2 goals, we pretty much controlled the game from the 10 min mark of the 1st qtr. Crows got 2 cheapies just before qtr time but apart from that they didnt really look like scoring from about 10 minutes in when we started turning the momentum with our tackling, chasing and intensity. 48 points flattered them - was a flogging in every sense
-
I still can't get over how bad Brian Taylor's call was.
-
Just watched it with the MMM call. ;D

It was a little muted come to think of it. However, it was nice to hear another call of the game.
Next up, the 3AW call. ;D

Loved JB’s call in the fourth about Dimma coming down to do a lap before the game had finished and to give everyone who wanted him gone the bird ;D.
Liked the comment about Adelaide thinking they were in an intraclub too :lol
-
Haha. JB made a few, let's just say, politically incorrect comments. :lol
-
JB was a bit more restrained than his usual calls. Must have had instruction to be a bit more professional than usual but still the most fun of the calls I have heard.

Lost count of many times I've seen it, but I have actually watched the qualifying final v peelong (stuff I hate peelong) more as the win against them was something very personal for me.
To me the grannie was of course better, but I loved beating peelong so much :clapping :clapping :clapping :thumbsup :bow :cheers :gotigers

I just watched that again on Friday, how good is the roar from the crowd when we start to open them late 3/4. I absolutely detest Geelong because of one person i know that is a complete yosser and i would've paid almost anything to see the look on the pricks face as we split them in two hahahahaha
One of the most satisfying wins in my 30plus years of supporting

Me too. One of my most satisfying wins ever. The years of us losing to them, I think, kept them in the game believing they would win. When we won I knew we would go all the way. Geelong will struggle to beat us for years to come.

Watched it again yesterday ;D.
The more often you watch it, the more you see how our 3rd qtr was just so brutal. Sloane got a heap of it in the first half and was the Crows best to that stage but he didn't get a single touch in the first 20 mins of the 3rd. We just were all over them and they turned to jelly.

I have been trawling through YouTube looking at all the Grandfinal stuff on there.
Was watching a video of one of the footy shows after the game, and they said that for virtual the whole game our pressure rating was above two and in our 3rd quarter, we ramped up our pressure rating to 2.9. They also said that until the Grandfinal, the Crows hadn't faced a pressure rating of above 1.5.
Now I am not exactly sure what the pressure rating stat is or how accurate it is or how it is generated. But regardless, that seems to be a pretty good indication of what the Tigers took into the game.

Yep loved the pressure and this is why I'm known as Three Quarter Tiger, because it's the best of the best that win it from here :thumbsup

Oh, forgot that I have just received my 2017 box set of all the games, the finals and the grand final.
I opened the box and accidentally dropped the round 6 game onto the floor, totally scratching it, it then bounced up into the microwave for a minute or two before being spat out into the path of my trusty CLAW :lol hammer. I then picked it up and gave it to the dog and said to the dog "here ya go mutt, you eat every other piece of poo around here, have this" :thumbsup
But I must say that I am enjoying every other match so far :cheers :gotigers it's figgin' awesome.

same.
hadnt watched it for about 3 weeks but yesterday i put it on again and also made the kids watch the second half.
My appreciation for jack graham grew a little more after watching it again. Gee he is a stuffin ripper that bloke.
-
I watched it again today with the 3AW commentary. Just have the SEN one to go. The more I watch it and the longer it goes on I can’t see any way the Crows could have won despite what anyone says. We mauled them.
-
Watched it again with the 3aw commentary. It's been a while since I've heard Rexy's 'fat-lady' go off ;D.
Anyway, one of my favourite key micro-moments of the GF. On ya Cotch! :bow

I just watched it again. Not sure which call it was, but Mick Malthouse was doing expert analysis.
I reckon he did a very good job. He called the game trends really well, and was way ahead of just about anyone I heard in terms of calling that the Tigers were well on top early in the game.

Would love a copy of the 5AA audio, especially any post-GF talkback?
South Aussie fans and commentators on 5AA go feral at each other when the Crows lose a final :lol.
An oldie but a goodie audio: http://oneeyed-richmond.com/audio/5aaclip.wav

The 5AA commentary is gold .
They had already given the norm smith to a couple of crows players after 10 minutes of play.
To their credit they did start eating humble pie during the third - apologized for not "rating Richmond "
Mark Bickley never gave up and was trying to bring the Crows home in the last
The aftermath was pretty humble too . Some fool rang up and said he bet 30k on the Crows to win .

I watched the GF with the SEN call last night. Whereas Lyon and Spud tipped Adelaide, Malthouse tipped us from the start. Even when were behind in the first quarter and the others were lauding the Crows, Micky kept saying we (Richmond) would be happy with how we're going and at the start of the 2nd qtr, he said if Pyke kept putting extra numbers in defence then that would play into hands as our spare(s) were being more damaging.

What was the reason why Butler was on the bench for 10 mins (start of 2nd qtr)? The only thing I can think of is he was dragged for Laird getting off the leash across their HB line in the first qtr?

Based on my own opinions after watching a replay a lot of times, I thought Butler had a weird game. He seemed to lack a lot of game awareness on the day. I thought he was hesitant in a lot of situations where normally he would have just gone straight in. I think he gave away a 50m penalty in the last quarter that cost us a goal simply by running to close to the player with the mark, there was that poor holding the ball where he just kept running through the middle of the ground and decided to bounce right when two Crows players were about to collar him, and there was also a bit of play late in the last qtr where he looked like he thought he was Neymar and was about to start dribbling the ball with his feet while again a couple of Crows were waiting to pounce.
I didn't realise he spent that much time on the bench after the 1st quarter, but maybe he copped a head knock early in the game and struggled with it from there.

Butler did have his tracksuit top on while sitting on the bench, so you could be right Slipper about a head knock.
He appeared to be our quietest on the day apart from that pass to Caddy for our first goal and his banana goal late in the last from a free. Although the AFL Record says Butler had 20 pressure acts (the third most).

I saw something about “Fighting Fury” with Dimma and Rance talking about the Geelong game. So maybe we’re getting all the finals?

Indeed it was. I was lucky enough to be sitting at the other end of the ground on the perfect angle behind the kick to watch it go sailing through.
Ahh, the memories.
