Graham promoted to the AFL Seniors :o but super effort by the big man :clapping
Don't think he will make his debut this week but signs are looking impressive :thumbsup
We may just have another rookie-listed gem on our hands
Foley, Thursfield, Kingy, and to some extent Howat
-
Howat and White are on the bench so presumably one or both may make way. Unless Patto is given a rest (he didn't train with the main group that much yesterday) or they've decided to give Simmo more gametime at Coburg then I don't think Gus will come in this week. I'd reckon the ins will be Moore and Jack.
-
Jack has been playing in the backline at Coburg he should come in and play in defence on a Petrie or Leigh Brown type of player. Hopefully the kid will get more game time than he did when we played the Bombers.
-
Well done to big Gus on his elevation :clapping Would be surprised to see him play seniors this week though.
I reckon Jack is a monty to play and probably Moore.
Could Hughes be insurance for Richo in case he doesn't come up? MT in his training report the other day said the big bloke looked proppy
I reckon the ABC will get their biggest TV audience this week as we all tune into see who's playing for Coburg which will tell us who is playing for Richmond ;D :thumbsup

Is that a hint WP? ;)

Yeah possibly WP although we'll see if Richo trains tomorrow. Going by yesterday he'd be doubtful as he couldn't run after going into the rooms then coming back out. But that's what I thought about Petts same time last week and he ended up training friday and playing his best game for the year. Hopefully the big fella is okay although we know of one OERite who would be very happy if Richo's 250th was delayed by a week so they can get back from holiday to see it live lol.
The fact Hughes is an emergency ahead of Kingsley and Schulz I think says something too.

craig mcrae said that kk reinjured his ankle in the last quarter during teh game last week
kk is gone though at the yr and i reckon jay will be traded or let go

I know some have disagreed with me regarding my opinion of Angus but I believe this kid will be a dead set star. He reminds me very much of a young Simmo and from what I've seen, he's not a bad shot at goal either.
C'mon Terry give him a run! :thumbsup
-
Now is as good a time than any to see if he can play.
Nothing to lose.

can't say I see a young simmo pretty much cos I never really seen a young simmo.
Also with his set shot kicking. Statistical IIRC is quite good, but does have an awkward stabby action
-
as for being a star I'll hold it to you tiga :thumbsup
BTW how long did it take Sandilands and Cox to debut
-
BTW how long did it take Sandilands and Cox to debut
Sandilands was elevated off the Freo rookie list in 2002. Debuted in R1, 2003 at age 20, played 19 games.
Cox was elevated off the Eagles rookie list in 2000. Debuted in R2, 2001 at age 19, played 17 games.
Gus still needs to work on his kicking IMO. He's 20 years old btw.
-
Jack should play, I reckon they'll play him Half-back-flank but we'll see.
Play Gus, you've forked out the money RFC, make it worth it.
-
I find it interesting that 2 of the best ruckman in the comp are ex-rookies, while many high-drafted ruckman are just okay.
Hope Kreuzer doesn't follow that trend, that is unless he goes to Carlton ;)
-
No need to worry about that. They'll beat Melbourne.

he will play in defence :thumbsup
-
think we need him up forward, only Richo = not enough tall timber

he will play in defence :thumbsup
You may be right X as he's been promoted on form in Coburg's backline. I hope Plough gives him an opportunity at both ends. Encourage him to play his natural game.

Jack Riewoldt back for Tigers
07 July 2007 Herald Sun
Gareth Trickey
RICHMOND has selected tall forward Jack Riewoldt for tomorrow's match with the Kangaroos at Telstra Dome.
Riewoldt made his AFL debut in Round 9 against Essendon but was relegated back to the VFL after he collected only five possessions for the Tigers.
Richmond football manager Paul Armstrong said Riewoldt's return provided the youngster with a chance to show off his good form.
"His form over the last month at Coburg has been really consistent so he deserves this opportunity," Armstrong said.
"He's only a first-year player but we always pick the guys that are in form at the next level and don't even consider their age."
Richmond utility Chris Hyde will head to the sidelines for a week after he injured his knee in training on Wednesday.

he only became a fwd later on in his junior career, but early on, he was a chb, played most his junior footy in defence, thats why he has taken the task in defence at vfl level with ease
i think depending on match ups we may see him play both ends, jack wil be the next leppitsch, only better!
think we need him up forward, only Richo = not enough tall timber
if we play teh game as fast as last week, height wont be an issue, petts and brown will dominate . if they flood their backline and keep in congested, we may need more contested marking power so jack or even polak could get a run up fwd.
im hoping to see snake rested up fwd as a 2nd tall option this week while patto is rucking
-
Riewoldt ... better be playing Half Forward ...
don't worry about the backline ... he is a forward ... let him kick goals !!!
-

we can hope and he does have the confidence, but I recall leppitsch being a fine athlete, something which doesn't really go for Riewoldt unfortunately
-
actually would like to see Jack play on Archer - would be a good match up and a good chance for the kid to learn :thumbsup

Who played on Archer last year? Arch was doing his nut by the end even at the umps ;D
