A tough few days for the match committee.
Fire away with your changes, if any?

U r kidding, dont mean to be rude but lloyd was good tonight.
-
Caddy if fit for Lloyd
I reckon Higgins should stay in at the expense of Graham
If Vlastuin is fit then I am not so sure... maybe Bellis.
-
Glad it’s not my job, freaking great for us though
-
See who pulls up a bit sore.
Just play 100% fit players.
:cheers
-
tough bc 25-26 dont go into 22.
Unlucky but Lloyd will make way for Caddy, did a few silly things but overall was pretty good.
I dont think Higgins will get dropped, nor Broad
Maybe BEllis for Vlastuin.
Graham may have to wait if Caddy and Vlatuin are 100%
-
Given the five day break I would think Jack Graham would be a lock.
Same with Caddy and Vlastuin if fit.
:thumbsup
-
Can't drop Higgins, surely not
-
Outs: Cotchin (rested), Martin (rested), Rance (rested), Riewoldt (rested).
Ins: Miles, Caddy, Vlaustin, Coleman-Jones.
:cheers :rollin :wavetowel :newyear :dancing :dancingpickle
-
If any player gets a 'rest' this weekend, it should be Nank.
-
Cotchin and Martin well managed again last night with 75% game time
Nank was rested last night for last periods in last quarter thus Grigg against Gawn at centre clearance in last quarter
-
Assuming Graham is a lock then I guess Lloyd comes out. Did some good things but probably the weakest of the ins. If Caddy and Flossy are fit then anyone else would be stiff to be dropped.
-
Townsend?
-
Caddy had a twinge in his hammy and it will depend if they think they should rest him a further week.
-

I’m going this one as well
-
Right or wrong- Brandon Ellis will never be dropped . That is a fact as much as the sky in blue .
-
In Caddy, Vlastuin
Out Lloyd, Broad
Team balance forward/back out, forward/back in.
Graham misses, not a lock.
-

Grey skies in Melb today
So fingers crossed ;D
-
If Vlastuin fit definitely needs to be brought in. For team balance would drop Lloyd.
-
LLoyd the obvious candidate but way Hardwick spoke about him in the presser last night I 'd be surprised if he dropped Lloyd.... he has to drop two or three if Vlastuin, Caddy & Graham are all ready......Graham is our top tackler but we didn't really miss him last night as our defensive pressure was as high it's been all year... :shh
-
Thought Lloyd was solid.
Think B Ellis is too soft for our brand of football these days...
-
Trade BEllis to North for Mason Wood.... :shh

In the Mix: Round 6

Get them in: Jack Graham is available after serving a one-match suspension, while Nick Vlastuin and Josh Caddy are hoping to put their hands up after missing the Anzac Eve win with minor injuries.
Under the pump: Jacob Townsend wasn't at his best against the Demons and missing a goal from a metre out won't help his cause. Sam Lloyd kicked two but might not hold on after replacing Caddy.
Medical room: Vlastuin (calf) and Caddy (hamstring) will have fitness tests. There were no fresh injuries on Tuesday night, but the five-day break will no doubt test some.
Verdict: The Tigers are flying so changes aren't vital. Graham will come back but Jack Higgins' three goals presents a selection challenge. Caddy should displace Lloyd but it's less clear-cut on who goes out for Vlastuin if fit – maybe Nathan Broad or even Brandon Ellis. The short turnaround could throw up some surprises.

Yeh I particularly liked when he missed Butler in the goal square with a 20m kick and when he tried to 2 step Bradshaw and got made to look like a dill
-
Yeah Lloyd was arse...him & BEllis were easily our two worst...
-
Collingwood will give us a game.
-
Collingwood will give us a game.
For a half, maybe.
-
The quick turn around might keep a few away who went to the ANZAC matches but it really should be a massive turn out....arguably the biggest clash between us & them for decades..... :shh
-
When we beat them will it be a great win against a top eight team or just another easy win against another bottom 8 team?

They’re coming off a shorter break so the win won’t count.

Agree with both points mate
Car park being shut is also a pain as well. That definetely puts people off.

Wasnt at the game but watched on TV and have watched the replay today
I thought BEllis was very poor again. Stood back off contest and refused to go in to get the ball
If they were fair dinkum then he'd get dropped for Graham.
Think this week's changes will be determimed in part by how blokes pull up with the short turnaround. Wouldn't risk Caddy
For mine
INS: Graham, Vlastuin
OUTS: BEllis, Lloyd

Even looked worse at the ground WP.

And yet N Riewoldt highlighted an 80 metre chase at the end of the game which resulted in a free kick from a holding the ball.
Funny what people notice

That was right at the end. He was horrid for three quarters. Trust me.
-
Very hard to make any changes however Vlastuin must come in and if Caddy is fit he also comes in.
Out might be Lloyd although I thought he was good and young Higgins might make way which would be tough on the kid. Difficult week coming up at the selection table. Ellis wasn't great but just does enough each week.
-
Ellis is a premiership hero who deserves a little more respect than what he's getting. Yes, he is frustrating but boy can he play. Won't be dropped but does need to be more consistent. One thing is for sure - not many play finals footy as well as the Bellis :shh
-
Think the only ones in the gun would be BEllis and Lloyd and lloyd was pretty good overall so would be stiff. Caddy and Vlaustin are walk up starts, Graham may struggle to get back in the side :o

I agree. Ellis's game against the Dees was poor.
Edit: Fixed quoting
-
What we need is fresh legs.
Vlaustin and Caddy if fit and Graham a must.
All three didn't play last week.
:cheers

Think Vluastin and Caddy plays
Don’t think Graham will 😉

Graham for a run with role on Treloar?
:thumbsup
-
No way B Ellis get's dropped.
It will be interesting how Collingwood go against our pressure game as the Bombers were insipid and Pies players ran around doing what they liked all day.
Collingwood do handball a lot and that does worry us when done well

Graham hasn't got the pace to go with Treloar.

Call this crazy given Grundy's form the past few weeks but I wonder if Nank will be rested given the short break and Soldo to fill in for a game. It's a big ask to ruck alone (with Grigg and co. providing a chop out) across two games in 5 days.

Bit early to be drinking?

Reckon they will rest Grigg and play 2 rucks.

First year players are so up n down. I'd be surprised if higgins gets many touches or goals this week.

Getting carried away here, boys.
Bellis is being managed :shh

Hopefully his manager is managing the offers from North & Gold Coast .... :shh

Are we talking BEllis or Caddy?

Don't think Caddy's going to be doing a "Reverse Croad" anytime soon..... :shh

OK just remember hearing from somewhere that he was going to Norf

Hmmm is that a FACT?

From what I've heard tonight's game might as well be called the "Menadue Cup"..... :shh

Ellis and Townsend not playing at all this week. Looks like they are being rested after all.

Would be mad letting this guy go anywhere. Hope he pushes his way in and stays there.

No, just something I had heard.
But if you have heard Ellis, and I have heard Meadue, then maybe there is something in the wind here. Might be either of them or someone else, but seems maybe the Roos are talking to somebody.
-
One thing is certain - Carlton badly need some decent outside runners..... :shh

Carlton could also do with a weights room.

DId you think they would play after haveing just wed, thur, friday off. If our reserves were playing on Sunday as well they would probably be playing.
Thats a real short turn around and id say duty of care would come into it. Not a good time to get dropped and thats exactly what has happened.

Not exactly
Both being held out as emergencies for the AFL game

Thoughts on the Melbourne game claw?
How come Lloyd is playing then?

Ellis and Townsend got married?!
Yep, that might explain it.

Welcome back Craw. If that’s the case, why doesn’t Llordo get that same duty of care?
-
Think Ellis was dropped rather than rested. His dropping was definitely called for.
-
Think Ellis was dropped rather than rested. His dropping was definitely called for.
Was told his performance needs to lift and there would not be a spot for him this week barring late changes. Body wasn't going to be risked in the VFL on Saturday as he was still sore. So basically, he was dropped and rested at the same time. ;D
-
Dimma confirmed in his press conference after the game yesterday that all 3 were dropped rather than rested.
