I may be biased......well i am biased but i'd have Richo in front of Lloyd; any one else agree?
-
Yep 100% mate.
-
Tough to knock Lloyd out of the FF spot, I'd have him over Riewoldt though
Richo has played the same way/style, as good if not better than Roo over the entire decade
Only GAJ & Judd were drafted during the decade specified, the rest are veterans
-
I was thinking the exact same thing GR12. But i also am biased

LOL Me and Infamy agreeing.

It was a real shame that in the end Richo & Cuz could only play 3/4 of a game together. :'(
-
The sad things about these teams
l call them paper teams
They mean nothing to me because they are not put to the test against any opposition
thats just my opinion but its just meaningless.

Gee Matt, i never thought of it like that! I was thinking when Ben got drafted by us that it would be great to see the big fella on the lead with Cuz streaming forward out if the centre! :(

Nigel Lappin is a bit stiff to miss. Performed consistently at a high level over the decade. If he didn't cop injuries he would also have a Brownlow.
-
Mark Robinson's best 10 players of the Decade:
1. Michael Voss
2. James Hird
3. Chris Judd
4. Jonathan Brown
5. Gary Ablett
6. Simon Black
7. Ben Cousins
8. Matthew Scarlett
9. Nathan Buckley
10. Matthew Lloyd

Fair call, MT! Very under rated and he came from a very unusual club! (Chiltern)

Probably lacking a second ruck on interchange as well, whether that be Darcy, Lade or someone else.

With ya on this one also.
-
For fear of getting shouted down....
Richo was All Australian in 96, 99 and 08. There are other players who got more All Australians during 2000 to 2009 that didnt get named eg Nathan Brown 01 and 02 and Gaspar 00 and 01 (i think from memory)...
Does one All Australian in that decade qualify you for the team of the decade? Hmmm i do not know.
As TM said, such teams are irrelevant....they are subjective calls by the author...don't mean much as the dates are arbitrary etc...Voss retired in 06 is in the team but Joel Selwood with only 3 years under his belt but 2 premierships is not in the team.

Would go for Lade as a second ruck.
