Notice the Bombers are having a Superboot (longest kick) competition at their family day or something like that at Windy Hill.
Who would be Richmond's longest kick?
-
Newman or Deledio
-
I personally couldnt give a flying stuff who our superboot is?
whats the point in kicking long(Newman) if it goes straight to the opposition player.

Nahas :santa

I think Schulz won this comp last time we had it
Pretty sure our current biggest kick would be Newman
-
who on the list can kick a decent torp?
-
Look out for Griffiths. He will probably be our next genuine superboot. But for the moment, Lids or newy. Lids for accuracy, Newy for distance.
-
Daniel Jackson possibly.
Remember a goal he kicked in the last quarter of our round 1 game in 2008 against the filth. Standing start drop punt from well inside the centre square city end of The Colosseum that went through post high and was still travelling.

Newman.
My fav superboot was Jumpin' Jimmy Jess.
Saw him kick a goal inside the centre square at the G 1982.

Newman, Deledio, Griffiths, Jackson - them!
:)

A superboot from the past, have a look at the kick from Merv Keane in my youtube "Fighting tiger sprit" clip at 3min 56 Seconds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-5fWk27ye4
There are no line markings to be seen but he appears to be well outside 50 and the ball clears the goals above the top of the posts. Maybe some of our more "seasoned" members who remember the old southern stand may have an idea of how big this kick really was but from my point of view it looks like a pretty big kick.

Also saw the same in 79 but he had no boot on his foot,in fact,i'd swear it was from the centre circle

I think you could be right BJ17 - by all reports can hit a target lace out from 50+ metres
Lids is a fantastic kick as well

I personally could! Try take off the tunnell vision glasses for a minute or two please Daniel! Games have been known to have been won or lost with that final kick of the day! Who could ever forget Blighty's monster? Has it officially registered 100 meters yet?
