Tigers raring to play, says Jake King

RICHMOND'S Jake King says the life is back in the Tigers after a spirited pre-season under new coach Damien Hardwick.
King, a survivor of the mass exodus at Punt Rd at the end of last season, said yesterday the Tigers were primed for the start of the pre-season competition against Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium.
"The boys are upbeat, there is a lot of life back in the club, it's been really good," King said yesterday.
"We've got a game plan that we are going to stick by and the boys are having fun and enjoying it.
"I'm hanging for (NAB Cup) to tell you the truth."
It will be a new-look Richmond in 2010, with fresh faces on the coaching panel alongside Hardwick and 14 new players on the list.
King, who played eight senior games last year, said he was revelling in Hardwick's straight-talking style.
"Damien is amazing," King said. "He calls it as it is and that's what the club has been lacking for some time."
The Tigers yesterday headed to their home-away-from-home at Highgate Reserve in Craigieburn, which the club will use as a secondary training base, for a superclinic as part of the AFL's Community Camps.
King put some young fans through some footy drills, joking he had been upstaged by the young talent on show.
"The worst thing is that a lot of them kick the ball further than what I do," he said.
"And most of them are nearly my height already."

Good to hear Kingy, sounds like Hardwick may have him ear marked for a full time role some ware if he is that excited........ look out forward line... ;)
