RICHMOND
Snapshot: The Tigers have mostly trained at Craigieburn since returning on January 4, with some light skills work at their spiritual and physical home of Punt Rd.
Medical room: The two major worries are Nathan Foley (ankle operation) and Troy Simmonds (rolled ankle). Trent Cotchin's pre-season is being managed, which means training twice a week.
Who's burning: New midfielder (draft pick three overall) Dustin Martin is impressing already, while Dean Polo is slotting into his new forward role nicely, as is the newly rookied veteran Graham Polak.
NAB Cup opener: Saturday February 13 v Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium.

I wish everyone would shut up about Martin! He hasn't even played one game as yet but people are touting him as the NAB Rising Star winner of the year. :o Not to mention it alerts all my non Richmond mates about him for their Dream Team sides! :banghead
I agree that he is traveling well but as we are all too painfully aware, we are not good at living up to expectations at Tigerland :help

sadly we're not mate! i just hope that Dustin doesn't buckle under the pressure and struggle to play at his best. hopefully having the likes of Deledio and Cotchin around him, both high draft picks given big expectations right from the word go, will help him know what to do since they've both been there.

He doesn't seem to me to be the kind of guy who would buckle under pressure. Too mentally tough for that. The current hype about him is ridiculous as stripes says but I'm sure he has the personality to filter all of it out and focus on the job at hand.

Martin will play straight away and have a huge impact, from what i have been told.
It's easy to understand,why exactly.
The kid is a man and not some weak little athlete who needs to be nursed into afl football and thank stuff too...we have a stack of them already :P
