Title: Is Round 1 A Ticketed Match?

one week to go before the 2010 Premiership Season starts against Carlton.

do members need a ticket like last year?

Not fully yet.  If you want a seat level 1 @ PRE I'd recommend booking but I'm convinced there will still be GA seating on level 3 and of course standing room.

It won't sell out like last year.  Just use your membership and wander on in. :)

at the gate prices are a lot cheaper!

But going by the Ticketek web-site there is an area (I thinks it's the Ponsford stand) that says the "allocation is full" or something like that. there are other seats available in other areas

That's just because Ticketek fail to release tickets as quickly as they sell or because the AFL/MCC/Ticketek have their motivations to sell some areas before others.

The MCC predict the crowd to be 73000 so there is no danger walking up to the gate whatsoever and getting a GA seat on the top level.
