I'll let him off for that one, they were just passing to each other under pressure in defence, no option so Connors tried to make the play and take the defence on. Would rather our players try to make the play than just pass to each other flat footed and under pressure, he had no choice.

Yes Connors was great IMO, Edwards gone, just no good at all, Edwards out for Polo, King........ geezus, Farmer would be ok if we had more talls. Again I will say it, why we went in with Edwards, Farmer and King is beyond me.

Jackson, Newman, Dedelio went well but gee our turnovers really kill us, oour skill level is country league at best, we really need to improve.

BTW how tough at the ball was Connors..... :shh :thumbsup ;D

Seems the whisper in Connors ear about the defensive side of his game paid dividends as he made a few great efforts tonight to complement a good offensive output again.

Edwards was okay, certainly not a game that would warrant dropping him for anyone outside the 22.  Did nothing wrong, was better than more than half his teammates.

Cotchin was great, Lids was good, Newman and McGuane bounced back well from bad games last week and Martin is getting used to the pace of AFL.  Nason also must be kept in for the season.

Jackson was ordinary, below par, and he still kills us with his failure to hit targets in wide open situations.   Would prefer Tuck, and that's saying something.

Post, King, Riewoldt, Hislop, Nahas and Farmer fail to get pass marks.

My changes for next week:
Out: Nahas, King, (Connors [if injured])
In: Webberley, Cousins, (Polo)

I realise today were the usual things like skill level and lack of individual strength but the other thing that i assumed is coached is positional play. Time after time the ball came out of a pack on the ground or from a marking pack and it fell straight to a bulldogs player. Can someone let me know whether this is freakish luck or are our players simply always the wrong place and just very bad at reading the play?

We had just as bad, if not worse, losses against the Dogs last year, yet with a far more mature side. Simmo got worst on ground again today and he was our only player out there over 30. He's a liability out there, we need to drop him which means we'll have an even younger side moving forward. Effort was better today but skill let us down.

forget about Connors Jack he did okay i thought along with Mcguane, Cotch
but i cant wait to hear how we should keep jackson and King because "they have a go"

they are both rubbish. ooh and those waiting for Tambling well they might as well Spud has more chance of coaching us again.

Tambling is the biggest dissapointment on this list. He plays like he doesnt care like his doesnt have any heart in him at all.
One handed attempts at Tackling and half hearted chases are a dfisgrace and im sick of seeing him in a Tiger Jumper

Get rid of him once and for all while we can get something for him

Endeavour is not enough Gigantor. No way its enough with these blokes.

You might be able to carry one bloke in a team who has a "go" but not when your team is littered with a team full of hacks who cant kick.

DW needs to offload 10 more off this list.

Another heavy cull indeed.

I actually thought Connors was okay tonight. I would rather a player make a mistake by trying to do the right thing by playing on trying to take the game on than trying to be conservative and restricting. Of course when you lose by 72 its these things that stand out but they are not the cause of our defeat. On tonights evidence I reckon there are at least 8 players on the list that should go before Connors. My beef is with Tambling .

Can I ask anyone who was at the game and can they please tell me anything of significance he did. Trade bait he can't cut the mustard. I'll say it here and shoot me down if you want any fans of him. Flashy downhill skier. Will look good as a finisher in a strong side out of a fwd pocket. Nothing more. We should be looking to offlaod him to a team that has their premiership window open at the end of the year as a small crumbing forward. Will excel as he is a downhill skier and flashy as others do the hard work for him. Can't work hard here as the job is too great hence he has a few flashes here and there and teases us. Ship him off I have had enough of the excuses for this bloke.

He's becoming almost a clone of Daniel "training the house down" Wells.

we need to do something with him and that is to send him back to Coburg for 1 month till he learns to tackle with 2 arms, block and farqin run till he cant run no more.

He is a shell of a person so timid and disinterested at times.

never seen 2 players so similar in my life being Wells & Training the house down.

Gas was an All Australian.
This bloke wont even go close, his career could be washed up at years end

as tucker said he'll be a good player in a side thats contending. im also for considering him as trade bait- especially in a player for player swap.

Pretty harsh on Ritchie.

Watched the reply he went in hard on a few occasions. Got 3 tackles for putting his head over the ball first.

Sure he isn't the saviour of teh club that for some reason everyone expected. Would be a good player in a good team. He'd be no worse than a Travis Varcoe who I reckon he's exactly like. Yet he plays a good game every week when he's around Ablett, Ling, Corey, Enright etc.

Not comfortable with calls of being a shell of a man etc. Ritchie is a ripping guy, one of the best at the club doesn't deserve that. Sure go to town on his football ability but don't have a crack at his character, have a single chat to Ritchie and you'll realise he's a super bloke.

Truth be told I've never had beef with tamblings effort, sadly he's just not up to it. Not evasive, doesn't look silky smooth and doesn't really break lines, compare his foot work when trying to take players on to say a rioli or davis or pearce, he runs straight ino trouble whilst those blokes are practically dancing on twinkle toes. Have been saying it for years at best will be a good solid average player....at best. I'd trade him this season definitely while he still has some currency.

tambling is so much better than what u think, he will be a gun, not his fault he plays for rfc, if he goes to sydney he will win 2 brownlows. roos knows how to coach, letws hope dimma does too

settle down, i think hes mediocre? Take the rose coloured glasses off, don't know what games you've been watching but he's no superstar waiting to break out that's for sure, just NOT GOOD ENOUGH to be the superstar we hoped he would be - deal with it

spare me, its clear you have NFI. Laughable, you're one of those fans that keep telling us he'll be our best player, better than Lids my arse! no chance LOL...

I never said anything about him not having a go, I've always felt he gives his all, but i just think he doesn't have the talent/skill/finesse to be a gun. deal with it you sook

Tambling was one of our better players against the Bulldogs.  He was pretty awesome in the packs he got very clean disposals out of heavy traffic and frankly I recommend you watch the game again with an eye to watching for him.  He did this consistently through the game, wrong dude to be picking on from the last game.  First game he was quiet but this game he was slick.

This is not a direct attack on his game this weekend,(wasn't that good btw) this is a general viewpoint that I hold about him after YEARS of mediocre performances

if this happens we r screwed, sydney are not stupid and trade well, they always pick wisely so the fact they want tambling says alot. and if tambling goes there he will become even better , everyone who goes to sydney thrives

we r doomed
