Keath chooses cricket over footy

Cricket has notched a rare and significant victory over football with multi-talented youngster Alex Keath choosing a contract with Cricket Victoria over playing for Gold Coast in the AFL.
Cricket Victoria will this afternoon announce that Keath has accepted a deal with the Bushrangers after starring for his country at the under-19 World Cup, which Australia won.

Amazingly talented footballer.
With the IPL there is more money in cricket and for the short term he'd be guaranteed to stay and play cricket with his home state and stay with his family. He also will get to travel the world. Choosing footy he'd have to move to the Gold Coast. No brainer.
Doesn't help our cause of having a stronger draft.

It also means GC17 are likely to go for another KPP or two with their first two live picks before us. They could now go for both Darling and Sam Day :-\.
