you never know how much you appreciate a thing until its gone... Now that we have played a few games i have to say i miss Batman and boy wonder (Richo and Brown) cause they were teh ones who would make me proud to be a tiger fan .. but now we have nothing... I dont think we will see anotehr batman and boy wonder in our life time the way the clubs is going :nopity :nopity :nopity

I suppose it depends on how long you intend to be alive, but these characters have a habit of popping up from nowhere. It can also help to work in averages. On average I have experienced a Richmond premiership every 8.7 yrs, which is not a bad return when you consider it!

Sucks to be young - I've averaged a finals appearance every 10.2 ish years................never looked at it that way but it's kind of sad.

i know what you are saying I wondered recently what Browny may have been like in 2010. Of course we will have someone eventually take theior spots, we have 16 players that will debut in 2010...that a number of prospects...We need a little patience

if richo was still playing atm, we would still be at the bottom of the ladder
he had his time
now its time to move on

but the loses would be a bit less hard ..

On the other hand we know what we had now that Wallace, Beck, Miller, Frawley and Casey are gone! :banghead

Brown was a money hungry rat
I'm glad that little prick has left
I would never put him and richo in the same breath.
Richo was a legend but enough is enough we need to find another 1 or 2 of him. Best thing for our club was his retirement.
Simmonds and cuz must go this year

Why is he a money hungry rat? He wanted only to come to Richmond, he didn't shop around for the highest bidder ala Judd. Prior to having his leg snapped in half Browny was tearing it up. He just never got over that injury which is to be expected, it would be a hard thing to get over 100%. When he left he said he was a tiger man. He wanted to be at the tigers and he wanted to play for us. The bulldogs could of matched us and were obviously more successful, but he came to us, why slag him off for that?

He's not exactly shy about it. He did an interview on the Sunday Footy Show with Robert Murphy and there was a comment from Murphy to Brown about him leaving the Dogs for more money and Brown said something along the lines of, "It's not all about money, but you should see my house"

if u believe that you believe in Santa clause too.
Brown was never in it for the yellow and black in the beginning, unlike richo.
Richo could have left on countless number of times for money but stayed.
I put brown in the same boat as Judd in that respect

the only reason brown came to rfc is bec he knew that it was spuds last yr and that wallace his lover mentor boyfriend would be coming on a 5 yr deal.
it was just a formality, he only wanted rfc to be reunited his the tanned one

Of course they play for money. It is their profession. I don't see why he is any worse than any other player that moved to another club. He was one that came to us. Unfortunately we probably wasted our cash because we didn't have the rest of a team in place to make good use of him. It appears to me that some of us are always looking for some reason to crap on players past and present, just any excuse, even sublimely skilled ones like Browny. There doesn't seem to be anyone who can escape this purile bitchiness, it blows my stuffing mind.

ok so I expect you then to applaud the way Judd when about things too.
Some players play for money some play for the jumper.
Big difference pal richo played for the jumper it's just a shame he had no friends who came along for the ride.
Brown, Judd same in my opinion. Only diffrence is brown was a selfish footballer Judd was and always be a gun.
