Title: Lessons in humility from Matty Lloyd
Post by: the_boy_jake on May 23, 2010, 10:00:48 AM
#1: When talking about Dustin Fletcher's 321st game and asked if he played against him in practice matches:

I always felt I had him for strength in a one-on-one contest but those go-go gadget arms could spoil from anywhere

Well done, turning a chance to ingratiate a team mate into bigging up urself and extending the myth that you were a strong man of the AFL and instead making light of his long arms.

#2: After Hille's checkside

Even I wouldn't have tried that!

It was great when Walls, Hudson and Christian were having a go at how slick the forward line looked without him and Scotty Lucas. Lloyd must have been fuming for 20 minutes until he had a go back at Walls.
