Great to see....

Why are all our great (on a world scale) sportspeople Queenslanders?  ;D

Just in my lifetime - Pat Rafter (Laver, Emerson and a host of others before him), Cathy Freeman, Greg Norman (Ian Baker-Finch for that matter as another major winner), Kieren Perkins, half the swimming team, half the medals from last olympics, Mick Doohan

We schit all over NSW in the League.

The only thing we've been ordinary at historically is cricket.

We should just secede and take our weather, our mines, our beachs and our women with us  ;)

I love her without loving her if you get what I mean.
Love watching her play.
A pocket dynamo, that just never goves in.

Our women I don't know about - ask Ox lol
We've got Sovereign Hill for our mines
You don't have lovely polluted bay beaches like us
Need I go on

Judging by the polls, a fair few people wouldn't mind us taking Rudd back either Froars....

Mmhmm, the "I'll never choke again" line to the media wasn't a great thing to say given that she had rallied through all the tough seeds and then lost in straight sets to a relatively easier opponent.  :shh

She should have just kept that little line to herself to overcome and played a straight bat instead of sprouting it to the media.

Still a good effort to make it there beating former number 1 opponents 3 matches in a row, but she stuffed up the best chance she'll ever have against just an average player.

cant believe she said that, 100% agree should of kept that line to her self. shes still got alot of time to make it to another final and to win one. but yes clay is her stronge suit i think and that was a great chance to finally win an grandslam.

Stosur will become the Greg Rusedski of womens tennis.  He had a chance for a Grand Slam Title too and never got another one.

Great effort to get to the final but I can't help but think it's a bitterly disppointing result

Not many players get the opportunity to win a grand slam. This was the one for Sam IMHO and it's a pity she couldn't repeat her effort that she put up against Williams (Saturn I mean Serena) - would have won easily

But incredibly gracious in defeat which was fantastic to see  :thumbsup

abit early to be making big calls like that isnt it.
