Richmond has used the highest number of players of any club in the competition to the half-way mark of the 2010 home-and-away season, and has had the most debutants.
After 11 rounds, 36 players had represented the Tigers - eight of them first-year players - while, at the other end of the scale, reigning premier and ladder leader, Geelong, had used just 27, five of them AFL debutants.
Here’s how the appearance numbers of all the league clubs stack up so far in 2010 . . .
36 - Richmond (8 debutants)
34 - Melbourne (5 debutants)
33 - West Coast (4 debutants)
32 - Hawthorn (3 debutants)
31 - Port Adelaide (6 debutants)
31 - Brisbane (1 debutant)
31 - Essendon (3 debutants)
31 - Carlton (2 debutants)
30 - Adelaide (6 debutants)
30 - Fremantle (5 debutants)
30 - North Melbourne (4 debutants)
29 - Sydney (3 debutants)
29 - St Kilda (2 debutants)
28 - Western Bulldogs (2 debutants)
28 - Collingwood (0 debutants)
27 - Geelong (5 debutants)

although that Geelongs playing list is pretty stable they still have 5 debutantes half way through the year.
What year were most of these debutantes drafted?

I'd love to see a second catergory for mature age recruits!
