Title: Chris Newman on SEN
Post by: one-eyed on June 30, 2010, 01:24:40 PM
Newy was on SEN at 11.40am...

I didn't catch much of it (hopefully a podcast is available soon) but Newy said the Club is taking a cautious approach with Foley and we won't bring him back until he's right. [Ed. It doesn't sound like he'll back in the short term going by that]

Praised Dusty Martin saying he gives us such hardness and great drive out of the middle importantly combined with excellent footskills. A great effort for a first year player.

Newy once again also pushed the team first mentality.

GM said much the same about Foley at Club 80 last night.

Re. Foley, its time for Richie Tambling to step up. Connors/Webberley etc can do the HBF setting up work along with Lids over the next few years. Richie's work rate has been terrific and his tackling stats great. He can break the lines but just needs to find the footy more.
