Title: Premiership preference?
Post by: the_boy_jake on July 23, 2010, 02:58:05 PM
Who is you preference?

I think popular opinion would be that there are only 5 teams in with a real chance - Geelong, Collingwood, St Kilda, Bulldogs, Hawthorn.

Geelong - great team I really admire.
Collingwood - just no
Stains - no, no, no
Bulldogs - I don't have a massive beef with them, but reckon they have a big game complex still
Hawks - would overtake our 10 premierships if they won.

Could have a nightmare scenario this year with Collingwood - Stains or similar

I'd like the Cats to win.

Hate the Pies and Saints.

Dockers, Saints or Dogs because I don't know any annoying supporters who barrack for them and would rub a flag in my face!

My only consolation if the Pies win it is they have Nathan Buckley in the wings to take over a premiership coach
Imagine the screaming if he turned out to be a dud
That'd be something to cherish  ;D

It has been a long time between drinks for the Saints and Dogs supporters.

So one of them as long as Collingwood lose by a point after being 10 goals up at 3/4 time.

 :lol

Cats or Saints for me
Will consider leaving the country if Collingwood or Hawthorn win it

Wouldn't mind the dogs but hope they fail miserably after recent reports

Anyone but St Failure.
Their supporters are easily the worst.

I live in Saints heartland and surrounded by 'em - never had a problem
Just diehards and I wouldn't begrudge them "just one" premiership

In order of most to least:

1:   Bulldogs
2:   Cats
3:   Hawks
4:   Saints
Never in a pink fit if they were the only stinking team left on earth:   Magpies

I want to see a "cinderella story" this year...Any team outside the top 4.

I always go for the underdog and love seeing the tall popies get cut down.

This is a dumb thread. There is only one team we should hope to win the flag this year. The rest can go suck my left one, cats included after all those embarassing times they smashed us over the last 30 years

Freo, heave ho! / Freo, heave hol / Give 'em all the old / Freo, heave ho! / Freo, way to go! / Hit 'em real hard, send 'em down below

I hope it is an Aints and Skunks GF.

Where a quarter of them get injured and another quarter suspended in ann all in brawl.

And I would mind seeing the big baby have another bawl.

Geel vs Pies

Cats win by 120 points

Ablett leaves to GC
Scarlett, Mooney, Milburn and Ottens retire

Cats list becomes more even with the rest of the comp.

Pies choke again.

Everyone wins.

Don't get too carried away with yesterday's performance Jack.  They beat a very young side in the infancy of it's development that was missing key elements of it's structure.  Not a lot to judge by or compare to.  Collingwood still play a game style unsuited to September football and look a far less accomplished team when pressured by the likes of St Kilda, Hawthorn and Geelong.

Have watched there every game this year. At the moment they are more advanced than every other team

geelong will be at full stregnth come sept so will the hawks and saints
pies will choke again cos that is what they do best

sheedy is right in this instance and so is worsefold when he said it is easy to coach a team to make finals, but not to win a premiership, and that is collingwood and malthouse to a tee

H&A form means little when it comes around to the finals, you should know that

collingwood are playing great football i must admit but it seems when they come across a stronge team that are also playing on top of there game they seem to run out of legs or something and come undone and lose.
as long as an attackive fast flowing high goal scoring team wins the grand final im happy but if its the saints winning it by only scoring 70 i'll be disappointed.

Cats because they actually have an element of decency about them, or the Bulldogs because they're not as bad as the rest. the Saints are annoying, Collingwood are disgusting loud-mouth ferals and i can't bear the thought of Whorethorn winning another premiership any time soon since they're still the most cocky and arrogant team in the comp based purely on their '08 premiership.

Collingwood's lack of injuries is a concern, only Corrie is out from the whole list
Hopefully we can have the authorities have few of them put down due to rabies infection
