Gary March on 3aw just before....
* Gary said he had no fears middle of the year when we were 0-9. This year was more about development , learning a new gamestyle foreign to the players and improvement which came faster than expected.
* Caro said there back then there was concern of a coup of board level, club needing priority picks and Martin going to GWS. All that is gone now and she asked Gary if he was going on as Prez. March said he's restanding for election. There's still more to do; wiping out the debt. More about the plan 3-0-75. Aim is zero debt. Hopefully he'll still be around to see that come to fruition.
* We have looked at a debt demolition. We've got a plan which will be revealed near the end of the year and it will be rolled out at the start of next year. We've made 5 consecutive profits and put more money in the footy dept so have all that under control.
* Malthouse is coach of the year. Harwick will be a great coach and even he'll admit he'll be a better coach next year and in the years to come.
* Caro said picking Hardwick was the biggest decision of March's life. Gary said it was a great process over three phases. Hardwick brought to us a great teacher. All about education. Also a solid gameplan that we could understand. We've only seen phase 1 so far. Phase 2 will probably best come in next year.
* Cousins' future is a football decision. The question is is he in our best 22 next year? If he's not going on then hopefully there's a role for him but we haven't even thought about that. It's a football decision for Cameron and Hardwick first and foremost. Ben has been a great attribute but it's a bit overstated as the media keep asking our players about him (Tony Shaw said it seems Ben is the 'messiah' to the younger players who adore him). Gary said if the media asked as many questions about Newman you'd get the same response from our young players.
* A one-on-one interview with Gary and Steve Wright convinced Gary to take on Cousins. He had come a long way in his rebah but still had a long way to go. Proud of the club for taking that chance and doesn't care who gets the accolades for the decision to take Ben on.
* Jack Riewoldt is an infectious character. A great guy to have around the place. Got his fitness up this year so he can gut run all day. Hopefully we'll have him signed up for a long-time very soon.
* Tassie? Always a remote chance from our POV. We want to play our home games at the MCG. It would've been negligent though not to look at it from a financial POV. It would've needed to be a very generous deal for us to consider it.
* More MCG games? well we ask for them every year. With our improved form, attendances, etc hopefully we get more games at the MCG next year and more friday nights.
* Did Cousins say Martin is the best first year player? Well Ben can get excited as anyone (laughs). Best thing about today is seeing the top 3 draft picks from 2009 running around.

Good to hear. Interesting to see what we have planned.
I can't see us getting more Friday night games while we are still a bottom 4 side but we're still a better option than all the ones Essendon and St Kilda get :scream
