A bit of a mix message from Newman this morning ??? ....
Asked whether there was scope to give youngsters such David Gourdis, Troy Taylor and Jamie O'Reilly a taste of senior football over the last few rounds, Chris Newman said: "They could all come in and make an impact."
"I think that's the beauty about the young players that we've got to our club, the first and second-year players are really keen to improve and learn from every facet of the game."
"Hopefully they get their opportunity."
"The (selectors) might go down that path, but I think, as a whole, they'll try and keep the core group together and just make sure that we finish off strong and with momentum."

Sounds like he hopes we make changes to the fringe players to give more up and coming players tim at AFL level but wants the structural/core players remain playing for the rest of the year. Makes a great deal of sense to me unless players need a rest, are carrying an injury or the coaching staff are keen to see how players play in alternative positions.
