A far cry from the team I grew up and feared in the 80's those Scousers.

yep... at this stage they're sitting in the relegation zone, which of course will change fairly soon, but it certainly is a massive fall from grace.

mightytiges, i take it you haven't had a look at your team for a little while?
As usual I curse virtually every player I pick in these dreamteams :lol. Half end up injured even those on the bench :P. I've had to drastically alter my team so expect Drogba to be out for an extended period within the next couple of weeks :-\ :D.
As for West Ham they look like relegation bound along with Wolves unless they can do another lazarus in the post-christmas period as they've done the past few years to survive. As with other clubs they are struggling financially and can't afford a decent squad. Liverpool is also in the bottom 3 but you'd expect with new owners they'll drag themselves out via the January transfer window.

It's only Christmas and they aren't that far from Man U on the table but Chelsea look gone. A shadow of the side that started the season racking up goals. I'm hoping Ar_senal or Man City can win it but the season has that feel already that Man U will end up with another EPL title.

Good to see a first timer in the EPL next year. Swansea City is the first Welsh club to be promoted to the top level of English soccer. I know a guy who I met OS 10 years ago will be very happy. QPR and Norwich City are the other two promoted. The last time I remember QPR in the top flight was when I was a teenager (a long time ago lol).

Swansea played in the Old DIvision 1 of English football in either the 82-83 or 83-84 (Preceding Premier League) season before they were relegated at the first attempt after a good start.

I stand corrected Tucky. Teach me to listen to the media without checking :wallywink. Swansea starting in the old 4th division had 3 consecutive promotions before finishing 6th in Division 1 in 81-82. They then were relegated the following year and crashed as quickly as they rose back down to Division 4.
