What a crock - ABC showing 5 v 6 instead of 1 v 4 - Skunks / VFL absolute disgrace of a comp.
Port v Willy will be a good match and they show Bullants/Skunks - Need their heads read. :banghead

Good to see Contin named in the bests given he had become a regular in the Coburg seniors in the past month. Hopefully he has a big preseason and can make his debut for Richmond next year.

I just got back from the game. It was a pretty close and enthralling match with never more than a goal or two in it either way all day. The scores were level at the 20 minute mark of the last qtr, but unfortunately they kicked away at the end.
I like the look of Matthew(?) Dennis. He's a seiously big unit who can play ruck or CHF, and is pretty mobile for his size. I hope he's on Richmond's radar.

Hicks ?

Hicks ?
Yeah, there's always a fair few turn up to games at Port Melbourne.
I spoke to someone who was at the game and he was in awe of Majak Daw's marking and ruck work. Wrong team, unfortunately, but said he can't kick to save himself.
ps He said Robbie played well.

Im pretty sure he was training for a rookie spot, perhaps we've been hiding him in the thirds

He was in the play a bit without starring, but his radar was off. Missed one gettable set shot from a free he earned for getting crunched, and one crumbing goal from the pocket that he tried to dribble around the post when he had time to run in and make sure of it. Both in that crucial last qtr to memory.
But in terms of Coburg players butchering scoring opportunities, the 3rd qtr was the most costly, with many scoring chances going begging. A bit frustrating in the final wash-up, but they had no-one to blame but themselves.
I thought Alroy played well. Some of his set-ups, tackling and second efforts were really good. Contin got a lot of the ball around half-back and through the middle.
Westhoff was kept pretty quiet, and dogged a couple of contests. I heard one of a group of Coburg senior players watching behind the goal yell out "put your head over the ball Westy."
I guess even at this level, he just doesn't have the body yet to compete in the air.

Welldone to Ryan Allen on a good game. :thumbsup
