Jake King, Richmond, has been charged with a level one striking offence against Justin Westhoff, Port Adelaide, during the fourth quarter of the round 22 match between Richmond and Port Adelaide, played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday August 29, 2010.
In summary, due to his previous poor record and carry-over points from within the last 12 months, he faces a one-game sanction, even with an early plea.
The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a level one offence, drawing 80 demerit points and a reprimand. He has a total of three matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 30 per cent to 104 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He also has 41.80 demerit points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 145.80 points and a one-match sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 109.35 points and a one-match sanction.

Agree - if it isn't going to affect the penalty then I'd roll the dice
What did he do exactly - was it that jumper punch thing?

If I saw some tall lanky creepy bastard with a pedo beard behind me I would snot him too. King should use the 'Beard fear' defence. "I thought he was gonna molest me your honor!"
-
King has accepted the one-match ban.
King was cited by the match review panel after he was captured on camera punching Westhoff in the ribs during the final quarter.
The Port player fell to the ground at the time, although no free kick was paid.
