Does anybody have a list of uncontracted players going into the 2010 ND and PSD? That will determine whether we tell Houli to nominate for the ND or PSD. Could still be a gem or two potentially available.

Bomberblitz have a thread of the contractual status of players from all clubs but not sure how complete it is. Most likely based on what has been reported in the media....
http://www.bomberblitz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57750
Friday November 5, 2pm is the deadline for out of contract listed primary list players to nominate for the draft and Friday November 12, 2pm is the deadline for delisted primary list players and delisted rookies.
The first sign of who is out of contract is the first list lodgement on Oct 31 when clubs reduce their senior lists to a maximum of 35 players. Most clubs like us are still to release their delistings. At the moment after retirements and trades we have officially 34 players on our senior list so technically we only have 4 spots available (= 4 picks). Once the delistings of Jordie, Thomson and Polo are made official then we should have 7 picks all up. 6 in the draft plus the PSD.

Is Josh Drummond still not signed by the Lions?? According to the list on Bomberblitz he is a 2010 out of contract player. I'd do anything to get him to the Tiges, even a straight swap for Thursfield ;)

Don't think he's signed yet, but it was mentioned in the article about Black signing a new contract that Drummond was expected to be signed in the following couple of weeks.
Think that Brisbane have to redo their sums after Trade Week to find out how much money they've got left after getting rid of Rischitelli, Brennan and Sherman.
Have a sneaky suspicion they're not out of the woods yet. Have the four young draftees in Rich, Redden, Cornelius and Rockliff to contract. Was stated that Banfield has already signed (cheap hmmm).

The Lions are still stuck with Fev and his $$$ contract so they still won't have much room in their salary cap despite three high-profile players going.
-
All they needs is a hotel room, fill it with Sangria, hookers and a Donkey and their problems are solved. Maybe even the girls from "2 girls one cup" might seal the deal for Fev. :chuck What salary cap restrictions???

Don't forget the video camera, they need proof this time

According to Black himself on the Footy Show, Brisbane have 6 or 7 mature players to re-sign.

Using that list from Bombersblitz and articles we can guess that Black, Power, Drummond, Maguire and McGrath are among the unsigned as yet.
Obviously Rischitelli and Brennan were unsigned to go to the Seagulls. Maybe Johnson will retire?
Have heard somewhere that Drummond was looking at least at $400,000 for next year.
Think there are a few on big back-loaded contracts. The intrigue is whether Sherman was on a back-loaded contract for 2011 and what happens now he's traded.
From the 2008 draft, they would be having to upgrade the contracts of Rich, Redden, Cornelius, McCulloch and Rockliff.
They have already signed Adcock, Hawksley and Banfield.

BRISBANE Lions defender Josh Drummond is yet to sign a new contract but says that is a mere formality when he returns to Australia next week.

Clutching at straws
Herald Sun
October 27, 2010
THE experienced players in the national and pre-season drafts who could improve your list.
1. BACHAR HOULI
(ex-Essendon)
Houli has walked out on the Bombers and will get to Richmond in the pre-season draft. He can turn it over, but with some love the left-footer might just flourish. Not bad value for just a pre-season pick.
2. WAYDE SKIPPER
(ex-Hawthorn)
We mocked Hawthorn for drafting him, but he played 15 increasingly solid games. Then it turfed him. Would a club short on ruckmen, such as Melbourne or St Kilda, take a punt on the 27-year-old?
3. SIMON TAYLOR
(ex-Hawthorn)
Nearly a premiership ruckman in 2008, and now on the scrap heap. Alastair Clarkson admitted he ruined the ruckman trying to make him super-aggressive. At 28, surely he has footy left.
4. BRAD MILLER
(ex-Melbourne)
Richmond would love to take him as a mature-aged protector for Jack Riewoldt, given the number of kids it has on its list. He is pondering the Tigers' offer, but he would be crazy to knock it back. Would be a role player.
5. MYLES SEWELL
(North Ballarat VFL)
The 2009 Liston Trophy winner was quieter this year, but if his Roosters teammate Cam Richardson can be drafted, so can Sewell. Just 22, and desperate for a crack. Deserves it, too.
6. MATT LITTLE
(Williamstown VFL)
The goalkicking machine might have to wait until late in the national draft, but has enough weapons that a club may take a punt. A super season with the Seagulls might be rewarded in the post-Michael Barlow VFL recruiting wave.
7. GARRY MOSS
(ex-Hawthorn)
Now it starts to get a little thin. He showed flashes of brilliance in 2008 before injury hit, then played just four games this year. Still, the silky left-footer could be rookie-listed again.
8. BRAD FISHER
(ex-Carlton)
Stranded on 99 games after being delisted by the Blues this week, Fisher would not hold out much hope of another crack. The 26-year-old lead-up forward might not have enough tricks left any more.
9. BEAU MUSTON
(ex-Hawthorn)
A stunning performance by Muston to come back from three knee reconstructions, but only two memorable performances in 13 games stand out. On debut he amassed 31 touches, then he kicked three goals on Dustin Fletcher this year. Only a tiny possibility to find another club.
10. RYAN GAMBLE
(ex-Geelong)
Gamble should get a chance at a second club despite being squeezed out by the likes of Paul Chapman and Steve Johnson.
He can kick goals and apply defensive pressure, despite stagnating this year while playing in defence.
One of a number of Geelong fringe players whose reputations outside the club may be inflated due to lack of senior exposure.

Houli is starting to look the best of an ordinary bunch of left-overs in the PSD :P.

he really is!!
gee Muston must be the poster boy for how things can go very wrong in your AFL career. Relatively high draft pick & three knee recos later and its all over...

Yep some kids are just very unlucky. Max Bailey is another. The Hawks took the risk in 2005 of drafting talented juniors coming back serious injuries and it hasn't paid off.

Hope we aren't in the same position in years to come with Griffiths.... :'(

cannot believe Miller is still "pondering" our offer ::) lmao
Sewell is worth a rookie spot, definitely over a hislop type!
whats Matt little like>?

Would think nobodies bothered to tell the Herald Sun what's going on and that's simply the latest that has been public knowledge. They'll find out when we all find out.
