Wow, that dont fill me with confidance that we will get a 200 game star.
Just goes to show that the position in the draft dont mean as much as people think, and even with the research you realy cant know how a young guy will pan out.
Let just cross our fingers that we buck the trend this draft and get a good one.

Scary...pick six has a history of being a "grave yard" pick. About time that changed.
-
The history of failed pick no.6 is well documented but I don't believe in curses or poo like that. Gary Rohan will be a star and we'll pick someone good this year. :thumbsup
-
Salopek Myers and Yarran go okay also. I actually rate Myers and I was hoping the Bombers were going to delist him as I believe if given the right coaching and opportunities, he could be a real talent.
-
joel selwood was pick #7
dont stuff it up and we should get a job player with #6
-
I think the club will get the early picks we have correct. The later picks are more speculative.
I don't think the history of pick 6 will play a part in our selection on whether it is a success or not. I think the
environment being nurtured at Punt Rd under the Hardwick regime is what will help give us an extra edge in
terms of the players attitude and willingness to succeed as with his hungry teammates.

Good luck Francis!
-
Just shows that it's due to be an absolute gun
-
Most of the 00s guys were injury-prone which didn't help.
-
well Karma owes us - we'll buck the trend and get the best player of the draft at 6 mark my words ;D

I like your thinking tony....footy gods owe us for the "fantastic four" (not to mention a bloke playing for East Perth at the moment)
-
well Karma owes us -
Yes it does TM, for any number of reasons.
Not tanking being prominent among them. ;D

2005: Beau Dowler to Hawthorn from Oakleigh Chargers under 18s - 16 games.
2006: Mitch Thorp to Hawthorn from Tasmania under 18s - 2 games.
Geez that makes me smile.
