Jack Riewoldt tells why he won't sledge cousin Nick about nude photo scandal

JACK Riewoldt taunted cousin Nick about the nude photo scandal at a family barbecue, but he'll be keeping his mouth shut on the footy field this season.

The Tigers goalkicker said he gave his cousin a ribbing about the scandal when the family gathered for Christmas in Tasmania.

Riewoldt said he was sure plenty of players would be keen to sledge Nick on the field this season after the photo drama, but he wouldn't be one of them.

Kangaroos skipper Brent Harvey said this week the Saints were fair game, but the Coleman medallist said he had a simple reason why he wouldn't be mentioning the stuff photos when the Tigers meet the Saints in Round 2.

“I was stirring him up over Xmas because the whole family gets together in Tassie,” Riewoldt said.

“(But) you have got to be careful because you have got guys that you can really fire up, and he is one of the best two or three best players in the competition.

“I won’t be going to fire him up ... because if you fire up one of the best forward in the competition he is quite likely to kick six or seven goals and win the game off his own boot.

“There are guys that will be targeting him, and like to have a bit of a chat – (Harvey) has come out in the paper (and said he will) and there might be a few more lined up behind him.”
