Just saw a graphic on the news as to the size of the cyclone. Yasi is 650km across (with 300km winds and 5m sea surges) :o. Compare that to Tracy which was 100km across and Katrina 400km. Poor Queensland can't get a break a moment.

It's gonna be one bastard of a night for the poor stuff of Nth Qld.
I'll be thinking of them. I hope they get through somehow.

They are going to cop 10 hours of it with an hour lull in the middle as the eye crosses and then a further 10 hours as the back end crosses :help. So that's almost a whole day of North Qlders needing to bunker down and just hoping and praying. Poor buggers!
