Who do you think will be the biggest improvers in 2005?
1. Raines - just basing this from all reports on him from training. Appears the way he is going that he'll play most of his games in the seniors this year.
2. Krakouer - we drafted him a year earlier than he was expected to be picked up so we've been patient with him. He has been improving each year albeit slowly. It's time he turned his brief moments of brilliance into something more substancial and consistent.
3. Newman - as was said in the other thread, off a HBF under Wallace's gameplan will see the best of him IMHO.
4. Tivas - a freer more attacking style should suit tivas. He can bomb long goals from on or just outside 50 and I'd reckon Terry's gameplan will let him push forward unlike Spud sticking Tivs in the backline for the whole game.
5. Gas :o - a bit of wishful thinking here although given he couldn't do any worse than last year he would have to improve you'd think :help. We need someone to hold down FB or we'll have bags kicked against us again. At least with Graham OS in the NFL, the annual Ben Graham charity match won't happen in 2005 :-\.

I think Rodan will be one of the biggest benefactors of the new free flowing game plan so expect him to silence some critics this year.
Jackson & Raines will be the clear emerging talents from the 2003 batch, but I hope we get to see some of Gilmour this year
Gaspar should also be getting back to his better form... I hope

What I wish for
Biggest improvers - Hall as a strong backman, Gaspar hitting 2001 form, Rodan running out the year on the ball, Tivva polling well in the brownlow. Campbell kicking 50 goals in a forward pocket
What we will get
Jacko - Rising Star. Deledio, meyer and Tambling get a handful of games each.
Richo will kick 100
:thumbsup

Jackson and Raines are ones i think will impress this year, especially Jackson. He seems to have been forgotten a bit with the excitement of Tambo and Deledio, but i reckon he'll be a great player.
And maybe Chris Hyde can continue on last year's good form.
Also think Newman is better than he showed last year, so i'm expecting good things from him under Wallace.

Forgot about Jacko :thumbsup
Richo will kick 100
:thumbsup
Now that is wishful thinking LT :rollin.

I will back him for the Coleman medal again
You just never know

I think Raines from all reports will go well.
I would also like to see Morrison have a decent crack at playing Full Forward. I think he can offer us something down there.
Also expect Jackson, Hartigan and Gaspar to have good years.

Improvers: Gilmour, Raines and Jackson.
Those that will get worse: Stafford, Campbell, Bowden, Hyde.

Campbell might even get better. He's smart around the field and being in the foward line he will just as clever.

I agree bluey. If Cambo can stay injury-free he could be very damaging around the goals. He's a good mark for his size and good on a lead.

Who's going to kick it to him? I'll be surprised if he gets anything over 20 goals. Have a feeling he will end the year playing only a quarter or so off the bench.
Hope I'm wrong about that.

Campbell at over 20 goals is almost backable odds on. (barring injury)
Campbell over 40 goals is interesting
