I think Lukey will be in trouble for that :-X
Edit: MRP has given McGuane 3 weeks which becomes 2 with the early plea.
-
Fair bumpni thought tbh.
-
his in trouble he jumped up from the ground in giving the bump
-
1 week maybe 2
low impact not overley late but then again this is the MRP anything goes ::)
-
Such a shame, great bump.
Farren Ray got up, game continued. Move on. No harm done. Its football.
-
Simply using Rance as a marker - six weeks at least.
More intentional, front on and leapt off the ground.
This is a Richmond player after all. :(
-
Leaving the ground to make the bump means he'll go for sure, especially as he connected with the head
Only hope is for a reckless intent and low impact to keep the suspension down
-
Agree he left the ground , both feet off the ground was late after Farren Ray kicked the ball and using the Rance susoension as a guide it will be 5 or 6 weks -1 if he takes an early plea and he may have wrestling points from another charge last year or the year before maybe carrying over as well.
-
Another brainfade from Lukey when we could least afford to lose anymore defenders with Moore out injured and Rance already suspended. Lukey will be lucky if he cops less than 3 weeks.

yepit was a brain fade, HE SHOULD HAVE IRONED OUT THE TIPRAT
-
think he is in trouble. was put on report straight away by the ump.
was there anything in the front on bump on Nahas in the last? the TV screens behind the goals wend dead just after so i havnt seen a replay but it was frun on and he got up holding his head
-
will get 6 down to 5 or 4 with a guilty plea. PLayed well last night but we can cover him with Thursty or Grimes or Post.

I don't think so, I reckon Nahas ran into the player who just stood his ground

Isn't that what Waite did ?
Dawson turned into Nahas and took him head high. No concussion but a split lip. To me it was a free kick for head high contact.
-
Toast - 4 weeks at least
-
Gone, 3 or 4
-
Just nice to see our boys not taking short steps anymore.
Over time, they will refine those hits and become a physical side that can intimidate the opposition without getting suspended too often.
Reports for high hits are like free kicks for holding the ball when taking on the opposition.
Gotta practise it in the heat of the battle and accept you might get it wrong now and again.
-
Elbow down. Not particularly high contact. Ray not bending over to get the ball but agree lifted off ground which is the problem. Good bump though
-
watching the replay i think that was hardicks first thought too.
Looked like he was wrapped until he realised what the consequences will be.
-
Only good thing was his elbow stayed down :-\
If he's really lucky 3 weeks reduced to 2 with an early plea
But my gut feel on the night and when I watched on replay the first time was it will be the same penalty as the Rance
-
McGuane has copped 3 weeks which becomes 2 with the early plea.

Take the two and be happy.
Means that we will get Rance and Luke back for the match against North round 5.
:thumbsup

no point fighting that one

Match Review Panel: full report
Luke McGuane, Richmond, has been charged with a Level Three engaging in rough conduct offence against Farren Ray, St Kilda, during the second quarter of the Round Two match between Richmond and St Kilda, played at the MCG on Friday April 1, 2011.
In summary, he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.
After considering the video evidence and medical report lodged by St Kilda, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 243.75 points and a two-match sanction.

take it and run
-
fair enough to be honest. but geez... that was a damn good hit!

He was lucky
Take the 2 weeks and move on Tiges
-
take it and run
Well put Al, I thought Luke was looking at 4 or 5 weeks. ;D
-
I still reckon there are grounds go challenge it to downgrade the contact to Low, but not really worth it as he probably still wouldn't get it down to 1 week.
-
As al said we should take it and run. Mind you it once again shows how inconsistent the MRP are and they do base their decisions on what happened to the player on the receiving end. Rance bumps Waite when Waite doubled back and cops 3 weeks because Waite was subbed off; whereas Ray gets up and plays on and Lukey luckily escapes with just 2 weeks. It's just random guesswork what the MRP will come up with.
-
Replace Luke with Thursty....SERIOUSLY WILL ANYONE NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE.
-
McGuane and the Club has accepted the 2 week suspension.

nice to see so many saints supporters sitting there in the background with constipated looks on their faces. i'm sure by the end they were shˇtting themselves freely.
