Title: Tigers v Hawks who will be the mediocre lifter?
Post by: tiga on April 06, 2011, 10:55:00 AM
As usual, whenever we play someone, there is always one player, of mediocre ability who invariably lifts just for us and gives us a toweling. So far this season it has been Betts & Milne.

So who will be the mediocre lifter for the Hawks?? Gibson? Hale? Bateman? anyone else??

I can see Hale ripping us a new one, we are already running short down back, Hale as a 3rd tall will really stretch us I feel......

On the flip side you could say that our "mediocre" players have been terrific so far this year.

White has been born again as a tagger plus Jacko and King have kicked important goals.

Grigg arrived at Punt rd with not much fan fare and has been absolutely killing it.

Burgoyne, will probably kick 6 and rack up about 30+.

Hale was the first name that came to my mind too TFT. He did sweet stuff all against us everytime we played North but as a 3rd tall at Hawthorn with Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne and co. feeding him there's a chance he could burn us given our missing tall defenders  :-\.

Burgoyne is not mediocre - was BOG on Sunday. Just been injured until this year.
