"... speaking of Melbourne rivalries, I hear people talking about 80,000-plus for Dreamtime at the 'G (Essendon against Richmond in Round 9)."

wouldn't surprise me. this game will have a MASSIVE build up to it. just hope it's not like every other "big game" over the last few years where we've choked.
-
If both teams win this week, make it 90,000 next week 8)
-
If we win this week we''l give 90k a shake - fantastic gate takings comings up :gotigers
-
Got my reserved seats today. Cant wait for the trip down , going to make it a couple of days. :gotigers
-
Yeah to get that number we would have to beat the Bulldogs this week.
-
Must beat the dogs
-
couldn't give a toss about the crowd number, just want the 4 points

A win in front of 90,000 or a win in front of 10,000? Gee tough desicion

As long as it is a win - that's the most important thing the crowd will take care of itself ;D

Watson went off with a hammy complaint but maybe okay for next week. Hurley though is in doubt after also missing last night's game against Brisbane.

Bombers got nearly double the frees last night.
Umps dress rehearsal for us.

Watson wont play, hamstring problems last 3 weeks, huge risk if they play him, needs 2 week break ;)
They have bye after dreamtime
-
He was very proppy after the game was Watson.
-
...I'd prefer he plays though.
-
Hocking should missfor his behind the play brain fade (at least 2-3 weeks IMHO) if of course the MRP is fair dinkum
So that probably means he gets off ;D
-
We are now hoping for a crowd of 75,000 on Saturday night .....

is this one of those ticketed matches where u can't get in on your 11game GA membership alone? requiring one to stuff out money to buy reserved seating?

no its not peggles, if u dont mind sitting up the top, Q section that'll be general admission but i dare say some of the top deck would also be reserved...perhaps around half fwd stuff.
My post earlier above the info from the MCC website shows some the GA on the top deck (Q sec)
eneral admission seating:
Southern Stand
Q1 – Q5
Ponsford Stand
Q29 – Q36
Olympic Stand
Q55 – Q57
OR...
Behind the goals Richmond cheer squad (punt road end) normally u can grab a seat around that area without having to reserve a seat....not sure for the bigger games if the AFL has that area as reserve if the demand is their...
Might have to get their a bit earlier and check out the best available...
-
Still reckon we'll nudge 80k bc most tiger supporters would know we are a chance against this mob and its been too long since we were involved in a genuine big game between 2 sides on the up.
-
...I'd prefer he plays though.
why? We have injury to griffiths. Moore. Edwards. White. Tuck. Oreilly. Dea. Etc

None of those are important to our side as watson is to them.
Any result with Watson in gives a better indication as to where we are at.

Win a trip for two to Festival Territory!
richmondfc.com.au
Tue 17 May, 2011
It’s Festival time in the Northern Territory and as part of the celebrations, spectators at Dreamtime at the ‘G will have the chance to win a trip for two to the NT!
From June to September, the NT is home to a range of quirky festivals and unique cultural events.
You can race a boat down the dry riverbed in the Henley-on-Todd Regatta in Alice Springs; back a winner in the hilarious Camel Cup or cheer on racers at Darwin’s Beer Can Regatta; celebrate indigenous culture at Alice Desert Festival or pay homage to the humblest of headgear at the Beanie Festival in Alice Springs.
So head to Dreamtime at the G, put on your beanie at half time, and you could be on your way to Festival Territory!
The competition will take place at the start of half-time, so make sure you are in your seat with your beanie on and watching the big screen for your chance to win!
Click here (http://www.richmondfc.com.au/portals/0/richmond_docs/Northern%20Territory%20-%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) for the competition's Terms and Conditions

i dont believe the sunday performance lost us too many fans...im still tipping 85k +...the massive factor is the weather, if it is crap all afternoon take off 10k or more, if its fine and non threatening ...it will be bumper well into the 80's...we are playing exciting footy lead by exciting youngsters...we will be out in force

We have enough fire power in front of goal to worry most teams.....its just the other end of the field that is of grave concern

Will be lucky to get 70,000 there and we will get thrashed. Long way to go but we are moving forward, but the bombers will tear us a new one.

I don't see such a great gulf between us and them. They were a dynamic attacking machine for the past 2 seasons but like us not a great defensive game which has changed since Hird and Bomber has been there.
I think we match up quite well all over the ground but because of their renewed defensive structure they'll probably win but not by more that 3 goals.
.... But if the boys are switched on from the opening bounce it may give them enough belief to actually win the game.

If we get thrashed by a team with a vfl midfield I'd be worried 8)
Collyer
Hibberd
Howlett
Jetta
Lonergan
Melksham
Zaharakis
Heppell

After our loss to the Bulldogs on the weekend I am tipping about 67,000......13,000 down on what could have been a blockbuster..

3 big losses for the Bombers. Particularly Watson even more so than the other two.

Starting to sound like the Bulldogs thread all over again..No Hall etc... etc...etc....
