Webberley abit unlucky not to get in.
But hopefully Tuck adds abit of strength into the midfield.
-
Webberley very stiff
-
Nahas looked to be very sore last week after Gus nailed him. Wonder if Webbs might still be a chance for a guernsey?
-
corked buttock according to matty white. think he'll be ok
-
Good to see farmer brownE in the side.
-
Well Browne here is your chance mate..good luck.

Well Browne here is your chance mate..good luck.
Would be very very disappointed if he doesn't get a minimum 3-4 weeks to show something. Look how long the Goose got to prove what most of us already knew.

browne vs three ruckman

Rance should be able to keep Paddy Ryder to 6 goals, LOL
Has been a passenger all year Ryder, BOG game on the cards :banghead
-
on a serious note, Riewoldt might have a day out.
-
Oh well, the selectors must know what they are doing... :-\

I usually like reading your stuff Jack, but this week you have been a nagging old women.

I sort of agree with Jack here! I don't think Rance is is a passenger in the way the term implies, that is not having a dip, as he tries hard enough. He just ain't up to it!
-
Thank you

I will say this, its the most pathetic effort of have seen from a Richmond player for a long long time
Over the last 3 weeks , he has played Petrie ( 6 goals) Keppler Bradley ( 4 goals ) amd Willl Minson ( 4 goals ) Will Minson made him look sily last week.
Rance cant spoil and doesnt jump off the ground.
Scared to take a mark, as well all witnessed last week and refuses to do the basics( stand on the goal line).
Lets hope we dont bleed goals again this week. :banghead

Bombers the 2nd highest scoring team in the competition (we're 3rd). Don't think this is the week our defence will be as miserly as we'd like to see, although we'd all love to see a big improvement on last week!
-
mcgaune was at fault for
many of Petrie goals, not rance.
Rance played very well vs Mitch Clarke, A taller foe.
Grimes looks to rance.
Rance is not the cancer.

you didnt watch him last week then. :banghead
-
I did.
Onenbad game vs minson move on support rance.
-
Alex Rance, IMHO is playing his best football for the RFC since joining the club, sure there is room for improvement but at least he doesn't turn back into trouble these days and always gives 100%.
-
you blokes much watch the wrong game, was HORRIBLE against Keppler Bradley as well
-
Whats the alternative - playing no1 backman when he should be playing no 3
-
Graham :outtahere
Browne :thumbsup
-
Jackstar - Rance was not on those players for the entire game. Especially Petrie, Rance moved onto him well after he kicked most of his goals, I think 4 were on McGuane, 2 on Rance. Against Freo Rance was credited with only having 2 goals kicked on him. You only need to look at the Dogs game and McGuane was given a 3rd string forward on Liam Jones who is 195cm and only played 10 games, where as Rance had to take the 200cm Minson who's played over 100 games and kicked over 60 goals.
Rance is not the problem down back, he has been given the big jobs over McGuane all season and for a kid who's only played 30 games so far he's done pretty bloody well considering he has no support down there. Now don't twist my words to think I mean he's been faultless, he hasn't, but he's show massive improvement and is definitely worth persisting with.
You are on the back of the wrong player down there.
-
you blokes much watch the wrong game, was HORRIBLE against Keppler Bradley as well
21 touches 9 marks (ranked 4th in the COMP for marks per game despite being too scared to take one)
we won by 50pts
he KILLED Freo
WTF were you watching?
BTW Kepler kicked 3 on Geelong's spuddy defenders, i think he's on the EPO :lol
Rance was poo last week but stuff me
-
Good to see Tuck in. Chance for Farmer to shine. Good luck to Browne he will need it. Webberley stiff not to be included.
-

give it a rest or u go out there and do better
u r a troll, and i have nfi why u r here
everyone is getting onto you , you are so fos, rance is learning and trying his guts out and has improved heaps this yr, he has had a couple of bad moments , stiff poo, it happens,
build a bridge and get over it, better still build a high bridge
Edited: stick to the topic and keep the childish sniping off the forum

Browne :o
Well I hope he proves me wrong and shows more than Gus. Needs to run out the game and provide marking options all over the ground. Against 3 ruckmen I think his fitness will definitely come into question...but if he can show us he is better ruck option than Gus then I will be behind him 100% :gotigers
The Farmer selection seemed to come from nowhere. Has he been performing well in the 2's ???

Both Minson and Bradley hardly world beaters

Took the words out of my mouth Stripes.
BrownE may be able to contest the centre bounces better than Gus but he's got his work cut out trying to keep up with Hille, Ryder and Bellchambers for 120 minutes :help. It seems Vickery will have to have more time in the ruck to help out.
The Farmer selection is out of the blue for mine as well. I don't recalling him starring at VFL level since he's come back from injury either. I would suspect he is still underdone as well. Essendon don't have a gun forward like Jack but they are winning games via their midsize forwards. Obviously we are worried about controlling them if Farmer has been rushed back into the side.
Tucky in to try and exploit the absence of Watson in the Bombers' midfield and get us well onto in the contested footy at stoppages. First time this year we'll have Tucky and Jacko in the same side so good luck with our kicking efficiency :-\.

Brad Miller is out - he's sick - Jayden Post comes in

Brad Miller is out - he's sick - Jayden Post comes in
WP will be pleased ;D.
Hopefully Postie performs as well as he did in 2009 against the Dons. An opportunity to step up and deliver at AFL level. He's been in reasonable form at VFL level so deserves the chance. He can also play at both ends of the ground unlike Miller.

Well, if he can contest in the ruck, he would already be a better option than Gus who cant do anything anywhere of any worth :sleep

That's funny I thought you would be the one please with Miller out..............
For this week only ;D
-
If Postie does well I think he will be a real chance to keep his spot.
-
Yes, big chance for Post to shine here, doesn't have to star, but needs to probably kick one or two goals and keep pressure on in the forward line.
Good luck Post.

I think we'll suffer from the ommission of Miller. He is great for our forward structure and is a real leader down there. Particularly sad considering his had finally found his kicking boot.
Great for Postie though. Time to deliver son :thumbsup
-
Post needs to work hard, provide a real option/draw defenders away from jack or hit the pack and make sure the ball comes to ground when jack is outnumbered.
Basically he just needs to do what miller does, but being a more skilled player he will naturally do it better. The key is to provide the structure that miller has.
-
Brad Miller is out - he's sick - Jayden Post comes in
:)
-
Looking forward to seeing Post in action and will be good to see how the fwd line functions without Miller - see if the youngsters have learnt anything at this early stage about running patterns etc.
Poor Browne - what a baptism of fire for 1st game of the year! they better give him a decent go at it 4-5 games in a row
-
ewwww :P
-
This year is still a development year.
The more I think about it, the more I like our 'ins' this week.
Time to see if some of these blokes can play.

Would we be surprised if Postie lines up down back on either Hille or Bellchambers?
-

nope - i was thinking the same thing - Postie has been swung from front to back end on numerous occassions in the vfl

McGuane started on Petrie when he kicked his 4 goals in a quarter, Rance was on him after that
I have the replay to confirm this but not the time to check it right now but that's how I remember it

will be of interest who goes to Ryder

I wish Browne well. Big ask for him Im not confident at all.
The Post selection is interesting I truly hope he has a crack but on what I've seen from him so far in his short career doesnt fill me with great confidence. He really needs to assert himself alot more than he does and I don't think he's a great reader of the play abit schultz like IMO (although schultz looks better now he isn't at Richmond).
I like the farmer in, I think the kid has a great kick on him but the most frustrating thing is that he handballs too much. Kick the bloody thing.
Good luck to all.
-
Miller is sick and has withdrawn from the team.
Post replaces him.

the browne + post/vickery ruck combo seems balanced.
Derickx needs
to find form for the burgers.

Was thinking the same tonight.
You end up with Browne/Graham/Dericx vying for the one spot. It appears you could never play 2 out of those 3 in the same side.
