Port in Darwin  :-\  :-\

Reckon Tuck is under pressure. Helbig struggled tonight.Perhaps they'll bring Miller back in...

Out: Grimes (inj), Farmer, Tuck
In: Astbury, White, Webberly

Probably only one of the last two will happen.

Think the coaches got it wrong bringing in Farmer over Webberly. When Farmer was subbed on I honestly thought he'd do more harm than good, I like Farmers work but just don't think he's there yet. Webberly has been in form in the 2's and deserves a go.

Yeah I thought Farmer made some errors when he came on but I think White will be rested until after the bye so for the time being he will stay in the side.

I liked Browne's combativeness also bar that awful interception in the centre in the last quarter.

Fully agree Pope.  Farmer struggled to pick up the pace of the game.  Needs a couple more weeks at Coburg to get some serious run back in his legs.

Outs: Grimes (inj but was going to say time for a rest and to work on decision making = marking), Helbig (really struggled), Tuck (really struggled when he had to think about things)

Ins: Webberley, Miller (to free up Post to go back to cover Grimes), White (if fit, if not Contin  ;D)

Maybe Thursfield for Grimes. Would like Webberley to get a game would drop Farmer for that to occur

White comes straight back in, his work this year has been fantastic!!!! Very important player for us. Adds some really important pace to our side. He along with many have improved out of site this year.

Im not supportive of dropping Helbig or Farmer after 1 game. Helbig also kicked a nice goal last night, ok he wasnt good, but lets not drop the kid after 1 game. Farmer seems unfit but Id keep him in anyway to get more run into his legs and more game time.

Would rather him do that in the 2's Ramps.  Get a couple of doses of leather poisoning then come back in much better condition.  It's not like we are missing much without him there.

Can't see them dropping Farmer

Dimma this season  ;) seems prepared to give players more than one game in the AFL (except for Will Thursfield  ;D)

BTW Helbig has played 2 in a row

Other thing to remember the step up from VFL to AFL is big - takes time to adjust to the tempo - Farmer highlighted that last night as did Post

All the players who step up from the two's mention the speed and intensity of the game.  All the more credit to BrownE, I reckon.  Did a massive job, even though we got slaughtered in the clearances.

I thought Tucky looked very off.  Didn't seem to run to the right places, wasn't much interested in spreading from the contest and seemed to get out bustled in packs.

Gus aint gutless,he's just stupid.
If Brown was fit,no worries but there were a lot of times in the final when we had to cover Browne in the backline because his output was absolute zero.He was rooted.
He was just a corpse,ffs!
Can't have poo like that happening. We were lucky to get out of it.

I usually agree with you Brackets but in this case I can't.  He lacks the courage or heart to make it as an AFL player and because of that I just can't support him.  He refuses to chase, to contest hard, to make 2nd efforts, and worst of all - he goes down squealing like a stuck pig at the first sign of injury or pain.  I hope we never see him in the seniors again.

Sorry Ox, but based solely on his "efforts" today for Coburg - there no way in hell he deserves to come back into the seniors

He was poor again today, in a game he really should have dominated in

No surprise. Gus has been one of Coburgs better players no more than 5 times in all the games he's played down there.

BrownE with alittle help from Post was up against Hille Ryder and Bellchambers so no wonder he was R00ted. I would give him another.
Farmer as stated I think Dimma is giving a couple at least. otherwise I think he would be out, just looked out of his depth. Post same and provides a contest in the ruck at least.

OUT : Helbig Grimes
IN Hislop White

Tuck survives on Coburg losing to Frankston FFS  :banghead Webbs had an opening there and didn't take it.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

Nineteen-year-old defender Dylan Grimes picked up a hamstring injury in the Dreamtime at the 'G win over Essendon and won't be fit to take on Port Adelaide in Darwin. David Astbury looms as a likely replacement. Brad Miller was a late withdrawal with a virus last week and could come straight back in. Matt White missed with a shoulder injury, but will also be close to making a return.

Nup. Seriously, who the stuff do we bring in? Gourdis seems to have a line through his name according to those Dan 'The Man' Jackson nut riders. Astbury doesn't deserve anything atm and who else is there? WTF happened to Thursty  ???

Footy Barometer - Round 10

    Staff writers
    From: Herald Sun
    May 24, 2011 4:06PM

RICHMOND

INJURED: Dylan Grimes (hamstring) TBC, Shane Edwards (fractured cheekbone) TBC, Matthew White (shoulder) test, Daniel Connors (hamstring) test, Shane Tuck (ribs) test, Matt Dea (leg) test, Will Thursfield (leg) test, Jamie O'Reilly (foot) 1 week, Kelvin Moore (hip) TBC

ON THE BLOCK: Jayden Post, Brad Helbig, Mitch Farmer, Shane Tuck

ON THE CUSP: Brad Miller, Matt White, Jeromey Webberley, Tom Hislop, Ben Nason

AL PATON’S FORECAST: A replacement for Dylan Grimes is the priority and the Tigers' defensive stocks are thin with Moore and Thursfield hurt. Possibles David Astbury and David Gourdis both played forward for Coburg on Sunday with little impact. Jayden Post, who filled Brad Miller's forward role against Essendon, might be switched to the other end of the ground as Miller returns from a virus, or Damien Hardwick might prefer an extra runner on the big Darwin ground. Farmer should get another chance after coming on late as the sub against the Bombers, but Helbig might need a run in the twos. Webberley and relisted rookie Hislop were again Coburg's best in an underwhelming loss to bottom side Frankston. The best news from the VFL was injury-plagued key forward Ben Griffiths got through his first senior game for the year.

Gee you'd wish these journo's could get their facts right  :banghead

Both Astbury & Gourdis played back for Coburg

The only bit he got sort of right was they had little impact

Certianly as forwards they had NO impact  ;D
