As WP mentioned in the other thread Miller was on Sport 927 today (10/2):

- Krakouer is fine. A slight corky. We basically suffered no injuries.
- Browny gave Rory a points start in the coaching stakes and still cleaned up.
- Gave Hyde, Tivs and Tambling a good wrap.
- Media headline grabbing in regards to Cambo.
- Deledio + Tambling will be there next Friday. Pattison a chance to play depending on the fitness of Stafford and Knobel.
- Being on board is going fine. No conflicts.

Thanks for that MT - Missed the practice game due to work - Looking forward to poowood next Friday 8 sleeps to go.
Thanks to the dudes on the board for their reviews.
Interesting how Miller talked about Hyde - I think he is a very underatted player in some peoples eyes will be watching closely this year. :thumbsup

I think Hyde showed what he was capable of when he was thrown in the middle in the game against the Hawk in 2004 - the one where we won by a point and I think I aged 10 years in that last quarter ;D
After that he was a solid contributor - nothing spectacular but very solid. One thing he doesn't lack is courage and an attack on the ball :cheers
He proved if a bloke is given game time consistently they will either sink or swim. Unfortunately, it is hard to guage who has ability and who hasn't when kids are sitting on the bench. Seriously what does it achieve? Apart form giving the kids an opprtunity to appreciate the construction taking place at the MCG :-\ :P
I have a feeling 2005 is going to be very very different
All I can say is.......
R.I.P. - Pinetime I aint gonna miss ya ;D

The criticism I had of Hyde was he appeared shy out on the ground and didn't feel comfortable taking the responsibility for the next bit of play. I would notice him get the ball then short pass for no advantage to a senior teammate such as Cambo. Possibly a lack of confidence caused the terrible coaching. However on Wednesday he relished the responsibility in the midfield and showed initiative to make things happen. That along with a bit of extra pace was the most pleasing thing to see from Hyde .
