Cotch in top 10 for everything except marks
-
A few things stand out
Conca in the top ten for all key catagories in his first year is a huge effort.
The discrepancy between Cotch and the rest in contested possessions and clearances seems huge ? Aren't we at the bottom of the AFL table in these areas this season ? Be interesting to see the stats for the top clubs.
Vix being in the top ten for clearances and contested possessions is surprising and encouraging considering how much time he spends up forward
-
i know every one is into super coach and what have you but i learnt a long time ago to basically ignore stats. in isolation or in the above format they are useless.
there are few surprises in that lot of figures and really its what you expect.
disposals either by hand or foot you would expect your mids and running defenders to be prominent.
contested possesions again those inside mids should be to the fore
marks well its the most skewif stat in footy, would like to know the contested mark stats.
clearances again should be dominated by your mids and defenders.
i50s mids high forwards and rebound defenders should dominate this stat.
rebound 50s has to be defenders and mids.
tackles well everyone should tackle and it should be across the board.but surely taggers defensive backs and run with players should probably be up there.
goals again obvious forwards and mids should dominate this category.
the only thing those stats tell us atm is those who probably should be prominent in each category are in the main prominent.

Stats don't tell the whole story for sure but every pro sporting club in the land uses them to meet KPI's so they mean something ?
The stats above don't mean much though until we see the comparison with the top teams.

Deledio is in all but goals

Nathan Foley's return has been timely and successful. :thumbsup
