Why the hell give them 14 then suspend 6 of them?

Just say 8?

Agreed.

Maxwell passed on info to his family who put on a combined amount of $85 of bets.

Heath Shaw tells a mate of his who puts on a $20 bet.

Shaw admitted that it was a joint bet. Where as Maxwell washed his hands and said he had nothing to do with the bets.

What a great captain.

8 weeks isn't much for something all players know is clearly not to be done and will not be tolerated.

Well Nick has always seemed to have one lot of rules for himself and then another set for the rest of the competition.... who could forget his carry on over Jake King a couple of seasons back.... or his Father's carry on last year about Nick being cut by Geelong all those years ago

Now let's see what Eddie does? harps on about the culture at Collingwood and how they do things there but then when his players stuff up he does diddlee squat

Shaw is a repeat offender and serial idiot it would seem let's not forget that  ;D

Personally I reckon Nick should be stripped of the captainancy  :rollin

Leaking team info as about as stupid as you can get. Puts the integrity of the club on the line.

Brent Moloney went out on the beers and hit them to hard and was stripped of the VC.

I rate a bloke that is stupid enough to leak team info to his family far worse than that.

Magpies should take intitative and send him to the 2s.

You know what I hate Carlton's guts more than any other club but when they got caught slary cap cheating they were still as arrogant and hated as ever as if them getting caught never hapenned. Then you get the Chris Judd brown paper bags issue and its so what.
Collingwood though we are above board, we are honest to goodness we stand for integrity honesty and are a morally correct social football club which caters for the politically correct 21st century Alpha Human wannabe on the food chain hypocrite.

Nick Maxwell did once say and this is not verbatim but.......... that whilst he is captain the leadership group will be chosen before the start of each season to make sure that the best person is chosen as we at Collingwood want to reward those who do the right thing and those who want to excel and be leaders. :help

In that case Nick hand in your captaincy credentialls and give it to Pendles Thomas or even Krak. :lol :rollin :lol

Will be funny in the MCC tomorrow if the Exalted President hears a Scum fan starting to paying dividends on the Skunk number 5. Don't kick anyone while they're down boys. No Majak Daw incident to make himself more important and bigger than the game itself as well as having a social and moral concience :lol :rollin :lol

Far be it for me to support these maggots, but in general this seems like a pretty silly rule anyway.

If you back your opponent to kick the first goal I can see the problem but not your teammate or yourself.

All using inside info here does is hurt the bookies, which should be encouraged.

Shaw conveniently gets 8 weeks rather than the full 14 so he can still play in the finals  ::).

I also loved how the Pies, who show off all their sponsors at every opportunity, made sure their wasn't a sponsor in sight on the background board and had everyone in the media conference wear just plain black suits rather than their billboard media polos  :whistle.

The whole Westpac centre is plastered with posters like you see at the airport with photos of items and ticks and crosses whether or not you can take them on the plane, except theirs have clothing and products they can be seen with.

I take from this that Heath Shaw is pretty representative of the general IQ of Collingwood players.

Yeah well, McDonald's wouldn't want to be associated with anything that leaves a nasty taste in the mouth :lol

All clubs do that MT, when it's BAD press  ;D

We've done it, N0rt's done it, Bulldogs have done it and the Saints have done it....... actually that's not quite true ...they had no sponsors at the time  :rollin
