Here's the vision of full press conference:

Summary

Before the press conference started Dimma twice said to the media let's go boys, c'mon let's go and then shoved a piece of paper away someone was holding.

* Q. Was it that 3rd quarter that proved pivotal?
It was probably that and a combination of the 2nd as well. We were kicking into a fair wind and we went in with a plan to combat that but it didn't go according to plan especially early days ... I think they kicked 6 goals for the quarter. Obviously the 3rd quarter we failed to take our opportunities as well. In saying that Gold Coast were too good; they outplayed us today in a number of areas.

* Q. You didn't take your opportunities in the 2nd quarter but how did you think you faired defensively?
Oh the same. I think they had 14-15 inside 50s for 6 goals 4. The windy conditions made it difficult ... whenever you go within 60-70m as it was a shot on goal.  So that was one thing. We just didn't move the ball the way we wanted which costed us a couple of goals early compared to the last quarter where we controlled the ball a bit more. Just a disappointing day all round.

* Q. It appeared halfway through the first quarter it twigged with the players they were playing with the wind with Newman kicking that long goal. It appeared in the 3rd you didn't play with the wind?
Nah the thing is once you got within 60-70m you could use the wind to your advantage but kicking it long at stages where they have numbers back it's no point kicking it long to a 1-vs-4. We tried to control the ball as best we could going forward which we did reasonably well as we had more inside 50s but we couldn't get the result inside 50 we were after. We kicked something like 2.7 in the 3rd quarter when we needed to kick 7.2 to take control of the game which  just didn't happen.

* Q. You appeared to run and gun it in the 1st quarter. Would you have preferred to set up a set shot?
Yeah most teams would. You score at a higher rate from that way.

* Q. You said you were kicking into 1-vs-4 situations. Does that mean you were too Jack Riewoldt centric?
Jack had a reasonably down day as did a lot of other players. I don't know what a inside 50 targets were but we generally do kick to Jack and he wins those contests but Bock did a terrific job on him today. I thought our forward line as a whole had a disappointing day. Ty Vickery was down; Griffiths was down. We probably didn't have a winner in that half of the ground at all.

* Q. How big a setback is this to your top 8 chances this year?
Listen we're just worried about getting our next win at this stage to be perfectly honest. We showed over the first half of the year we can play some exciting footy but we've just lost the mojo at the moment. We need to rediscover that.

* Q. It has to be asked Damien - would the result have been different at the MCG?
No I wouldn't have thought so. Look at the end of the day if you want to play in the big one at some stage you've got to play away. We've got to learn to travel better. We haven't travelled well over the course of the past two years. It's a learning experience; we've got to get better at it. If you want to win the big one at some stage you've got to play away.

* Q. If you didn't have to travel at this stage wouldn't you ...
[Dimma interrupts] Nah don't insult us.

* Q. Are you happy to come up to Cairns again?
Yes - the venue itself is outstanding; the ground is terrific; the facilities are great. So look from a playing point of view it's been a pleasant experience . Obviously you'd prefer to get the result you're after. Look we've got the opportunity to come up here again next year. We don't like to leave with a loss so we'll be back to rectify the result.

* Q. Is there a Jeckyl and Hyde personality on the field? Last week against Essendon 20 points up and then get run over in the last quarter; today 6.8 in the first quarter and dominating.
Yeah it's young sides. Gold Coast are the same. Poor in the first quarter; second quarter better. Look you've got to understand out there there was a 6-7 goal breeze. We only had it twice. There was only about one goal kicked up that other end over the course of the day. Tough conditions but we expected a better result no doubt.

* Q. Humidity affect you?
Nah I wouldn't have thought so. It was humid but they played in the same conditions so I wouldn't have thought that was an issue.

* Q. 24 inside 50s in the first quarter yet you end with 50 all up. Is that a fair indication of your struggle to move the ball?
I think you'll find both clubs in the half they had the wind they probably got 80% of their inside 50s whereas the other two quarters there were probably 10-11 between us. The wind itself was going straight down the ground so it was really hard to control the ball and get it inside 50. Look I still think we had more inside 50s than them. We just didn't use the ball anywhere near as well enough going inside 50 to get the result we were after.

* Q. Andrew Browne - any injury?
Nah we just thought we were too tall. The wind was gusty and there weren't a great deal of marks going inside 50 - Lynch took a few for them but our forwards  couldn't find it so we decided to free up a small bloke in Reece Conca.

* Q. Where do you get that elusive mojo back?
On the training track mate. That's where it happens. Look we are in a pretty hole at the moment but we know where we are going and more importantly know where we are at. We've got a lot of work to do so we'll get onto the training track and hope for a better result next week.

That, if I may say so, is a fib by DH. Coaches are judged by wins whether you are rebuilding or not.
If Hardwick was happy with us playing in Darwin and Cairns then he is not the coach for me.
Even the best sides have to 'scrounge' out wins in this competition by any means necessary. Richmond are crap. We can't afford to sell off our minor advantages.

I would think internally he wants to play at the MCG or Etihad DC but to show unity to the board and club as a whole he said what he said. Although he is right in saying the team needs to travel better, whether its a legitimate interstate trip or a sold home game.

mojo?

you want a great team make sure you dont except mediocrity. At training if one player sfuffs up then you keep on doing the same drill over and over again until they do it perfectly. Cant kick cant play. Cant win your own ball cant play.

the biggest issue i have with Dimma is he has gon eback on his word and is nothing like Clarko, nor is he anything like he was as a player.

I would argue our players were more tougher under Wallett. Tackle count down, Contested ball down,

playing favourites. WTF is that seriously. "Jackson will always be first picked" WTF

Absolutely, why not say it in the press conference instead of "we lost our mojo"?
If we lost our mojo, where is the fat bastard who took it????
